Re: What kind of girl are you?
I'm a blush girl. I love blush. I love to layer, experiment, mix, match, use eyeshadow as blush, blush as eyeshadow. If it's meant for my cheeks, I love it. Blush on the apples of my cheeks takes me from seriously anemic looking to fresh, awake and lively.
Having said that, before I tried SN eye colours I thought mineral shadows, other than liners, were flat, one dimensional, boring and disappointing. The brand I was using gave no colour or shimmer pay off on my skin. My first SN eye shadow was Luxe and I could not belieeeve the quality. Now I want them all and I'm on my way, it's true!
Now having said thaaaat, I'm starting to fall in love with SN lippies! Until now I have never worn anything tinted or coloured because everything has made my lips peel their top layer of skin, and sometimes more even to bleeding point! SN NEVER does that. The lippies are legendary!
So I think I'm an everything girl in training!

i think i am a lippie girl first. eyeshadows are a close second. skin care next...i love doing my skin care routines for some reason. the only thing i'm not addicted to is blush. (i can't NOT wear it though).
Re: What kind of girl are you?
Wonder what would happen if we took a bunch of lippies and dangled them in front of Karen face. She'd be hypotized and we can get her to do anything we want. "Yes karen that's right you want to make nothing but weird and bizzare e/s" or "yes karen tell sarah what your secret projects are at the moment".karen wrote:That's too funny!!! Thank you for the chuckle this morningWe know that lippies are what really turn Karen's crank.Yes, they turn my crank, float my boat, and blow my skirt up.
Of course we're gonna have to get pass Susan, Val and any other SN elf, first before we get to karen............what could we distract them with.
For my it's eyeshadows!!!!! The more the better any colour, all colours I'm not a snob. Just give me them all and see what I do. Of course the lovely karen has also turned me into a blush ho too, at last count I have 24/25 blushes.

Re: What kind of girl are you?
i think my main weakness is lippies. I probably have over 200 glosses, balms, sticks, and treatments. A couple of days ago when i was driving, my phone started ringing and i asked my boyfriend to grab it from my purse, after he was digging for about 30 seconds he yelled, "why do you need so many lipsticks in your purse?!" i counted later and I had 16 balms, lipsticks and lipglosses haha I just get really nervous though, that I won't have anything and I'm going to get stuck in the cold michigan weather with dry lips
It's probably an addiction (at least it's a pretty one)
But i also love to buy tons of eyeshadows and blushes. I have my 'normal' morning make-up bag with about 15 eyeshadows, 3 blushes, 2 foundations, 2 concealers, 2 highlighters, 4 mascaras, 4 lipsticks and 2 glosses BUT then there is another make-up bag (not a bag - more of a suitcase) that i keep close by, just in case.
The thing is - I don't think that i look like I have too much makeup on, i don't wear that much :/
So yea, Lippies then eyeshadows and blushes.

Re: What kind of girl are you?
I am into everything, I pack a small makeup bag every morning before leaving for work with my eyeshadows I've chosen for the day, as well as my blush and lipstick. I have at least 100 eyeshadows, 25 blushes, and getting close to 50 lippies.
SN addict par excellence!
Favorite Blushes: Foxxy, Climax, Cider and Jamie
Favorite Lipstick: Negligee
Primer/Foundation/Finishing Powder: I'm a mad scientist!
I would join a 12 step program for my SN addiction, but 12 steps are for quitters!

Re: What kind of girl are you?
I started as a simple girls with only lip&cheek stain from TBS and vaseline petroleum jelly years ago until just recently.
Thanks to the bad genes in my family where the girls are lacking of brows and lashes while the boys grow thick gorgeous lushes of brows and lashes, me and my sisters followed my mom's footsteps on relying heavily on brow pencil about 3 years ago (I just recently made my babysister cry because I accidentally wiped off half of her right brow while we all left our brow pencil at home because we very very rarely need touchup. We have it all the time now.).
The addiction on liners and mascaras started about 1-2years ago. I love to switch colors for liners. My favorite being blue and purple (eggplant-ish purple, not lavender purple), and sometimes green. I also have some shimmer and matte neon pigments from MUFE I love to wear as liners. I rarely wear any e/s. I have pretty many colors though since I used to dance and done some performance. I actually basically love colors. Just not enough balls to rock it everyday.
I also have one muted pink lipstick and one peachy pink lipstick for weekends. I sometime use the peachy pink on my cheek if I'm bored with my usual stain. Also my favorites are (I have one each of) fuschia, bright red, and (my most loved) wine/cabernet.
I don't wear powder and I only wear foundation (w/o powder) because I believe as long as the skin looks healthy there's no need to suffocate it.
Since I got my bachelor, I have a growing interest on makeup. Finding SN only make the passion grow stronger because it's on the healthier side. I don't experiment much on lips and blushes (currently on the lookout for the perfect color to stick with) but I love color liners and shadows. I have to be careful not to buy doubles though. I also still avoid using it daily and simply rely on liners.
So my makeup purse contains:
Black brow pencil
Black kohl
Black liquid liner
Lengthening mascara
Volumizing mascara
TBS Lip&Cheek Stain
Neutral lipstick
Nude lip liner
Egyptian Magic Cream (potted)
Brow brush
I use my blush at home and rotate it with stain or matte lipstick.
I wear color liners on weekends.
PS: I now have a pretty spread of makeup. 30-ish lippies, a boxful of e/s, blushes, bronze, a boxful of lipliners, and more and more, but I basically only rely on my small Coach makeup purse
. I sound so boring, eh?

Re: What kind of girl are you?
I'm so lazy I don't usually bother brushing my hair (even as they are straight and fine). I also don't put on any makeup (or sunscreen, or moisturiser) before I go to work daily. Another thing I dislike: changing items which work well for me, so I'm still trying to finish up my EDM Best Friends blush (among other stuff from them) which I think has 4/5 of the original amount left lol, because I'm cheap too and use very little in each application.
Two years back, the only makeup item I like having was eyeliner because I have sleepy eyes and it helps perks them up! It's still my favourite item, and even though I try to use less chemically-laden products in every aspect of my life, I can't do without Too-Faced primer and MAC's gel eyeliner.
Too awesome a combination, even though the primer irritates my eyes sometimes. CAN'T.LET.GO. It doesn't help that I've become familiar with the angled brow brush I use to apply my eyeliner with! Use them whenever I'm going out and not to work though.
Mascara and eyeshadows are still too much work for me. I own them but I don't use them unless the occasion calls for it (annually?).
The one thing I've come to appreciate since trying out SN is skincare. Just yesterday, a friend whom I've not seen since before I started using SN's skincare range a couple of months ago, was teasing me about my sudden convert to applying thick makeup that covers ALL my flaws. I was like
then
then
because I have only a thin layer (remember I'm cheap) each of EDM's primer and SN's Tempt Tryst! I showed her the small patch of broken capillaries near my cheeks to prove that my makeup was not as thick as she thought, and she was surprised! I love it!
Before makeup, I use Green Tea and Aloe serum with my mix of Vitamin-E + Jojoba oil moisturiser, and I feel that this helps sets my makeup a lot better! At bedtime, I alternate AHA and BHA toners with a break in between days (i.e. I forgot), then the serum and moisturiser as well. Definitely an improvement to my skin which is beginning to show signs of a natural glow??? Amazing, I never had that in perhaps my entire life.

Lipstick all the way. I'm lipstick crazy and buy at least one per week. It's just mad. It's also a bit pointless sometimes - I'm seeing my boyfriend a lot lately and none of my lipsticks seem to be kissing-resistant. I'm moving on to focusing on the eyes to compensate :p

Re: What kind of girl are you?
Judging by how much I own - I am definitely an eyeshadow girl! It doesn't seem to matter how many I own, but I still want more, even knowing that I'll probably never use them all up. Go figure that one out!
But I am becoming more and more a blush girl - especially since trying Tart Light from SN, it was absolutely a catalyst in my conversion!
I would have to say lippies last. If I wear something on my lips its bright red lipstick. Other than that I tend to leave it alone.

Re: What kind of girl are you?
It started with the SN lippies for me, They are the absolute best out there! Then something happened, i tried a blush on a whim, being not much of a blush person, I was hooked! I have way too many...and I love them all! Now that I am overstocked on lippies and blushes, I have turned to a skincare obsession. I buy samples and hand them out to friends and family and have created monsters! These ladies are hooked. I am hooked. Just when i think the products can't get any better, Karen goes and makes an even better product!!!!
So....
Lippies------>Blush/Glows--------->skincare
and yes, a girl needs choices for blush, even if it is just an overnight trip!
