What kind of girl are you?

We know that lippies are what really turn Karen's crank. So what is it? Lippies? Eyeshadows? Blushes?

Or are you like me and an "everything" girl?
SN addict par excellence!
Favorite Blushes: Foxxy, Climax, Cider and Jamie
Favorite Lipstick: Negligee
Primer/Foundation/Finishing Powder: I'm a mad scientist!

I would join a 12 step program for my SN addiction, but 12 steps are for quitters!

It all began with SN's lippies.

Now it's morphed into EVERYTHING.

Eyeshadow is my addiction. It's pretty outta control. But I've become better about it, I really have. I recently gave away a crapload of eyeshadow from "that other place," but the unfortunate side of that is that it's cleared out room for more. But in my defense I haven't replaced any of them yet.

I began with a fascination for dark liner 'powder' as pencil liners caused me problems and when I found minerals, I was a very happy bunny indeed. Then I found out that shimmery eyeshadow exists and I thought I'd gone to heaven. I remember (in naivety) pulling the sifter off a mini of a colour called Chamomile (a pale sparkly gold) whilst sitting on my living room floor in a strong sunbeam and the contents of the pot flew up everywhere into the air and sunbeam - it looked like sitting inside a snowglobe. It was worth the vacuuming afterwards! That began my obsession with Colour and Prettiness. I've given away about three quarters of my stash in the last year to folks here, newbies and people who cross my path and need a touch of serendipitous sparkle in their lives. It's amazing how it can lift the spirits, even on the most unlikely of people I meet. Which I can understand...

Lately, after a few tough years, I'm not so confident in my looks and am ageing, so I'm moving away from things which are beautiful in their own right - like sparklies - and starting to prefer things which make me look good. I'd live in multi-coloured irridescent eyeshadow if I could - and do, some days. Generally, my staple look is a casual neutral eye, upper lid liner and groomed lashes.

And lippy.

My new love is lippy. You can play it up, tone it down, go soft and casual, go dramatic - and change it a dozen times a day. I'll never get over my sense of fun with sparkly eyeshadow but for now, lippy ministers to my confidence and 'joie de vivre'.

Lip gloss, eyeliner, and blush.....although the blush obsession has died a little. But I do like all things makeup related....

I am definitely a lippy girl at heart, and Karen's lippies are the BEST! But, with her GWP program, Karen has also turned me into an eye shadow girl. I used to never wear eye shadow unless I was dressing up, and then it was very plain, matte neutrals. SN shadows have inspired me to embrace wearing colors, and finishes other than matte. Now, I very rarely go a day without eye shadow. (Good thing, because my eye shadow collection is threatening to take over my bathroom counter!) I also used to never have more than one blush that I would use; now I have three or four that I reach for on a regular basis...again, all because of SN.

I guess, in short, I am a SN girl! :D

We know that lippies are what really turn Karen's crank.
That's too funny!!! Thank you for the chuckle this morning :D Yes, they turn my crank, float my boat, and blow my skirt up. There's usually about 20 of them in my purse at any given time. I like them for the same reason Cupcake does- you can switch them out, and really transform your look a few times a day. I am rather a shameless ho for everything though...when we travel, even if it's just a weekend away, I cannot leave without Flirt, Tart Light, Carnal, Stellar, Baby Doll, Maybe Baby, and Climax- yes, 7 blushes, ya know, "just in case"- in case of what, I don't know, but I have to have them with me or I feel naked somehow.

This thread is going to be fun!!!!! I'm glad the GWP program got you to play with color- we've had a lot of makeup timid people come out of their shells with some of the sparkles, and it's really fun to watch people transform from "just show me the matte neutrals" to something a bit more daring.

I like this "just in case!"

I am also the SN girl!

Though my obsession started with the skin care! With Apricot Cleansing Oil, masks and toners, kabuki brushes - I believed Karen writing - these are the best, give them a try. That was all true!
And I got me free shadows for the huge hauls - Groove, Carbon, Platinum, Harvest and Verde... Wow... :-) What a high quality, then I tried the foundation and perfecting powder...

My obsession with eye shadows started not long ago - last April, when I got Nekkid as a free e/s to lots of blush samples and f/s Perfecting powders, concealers, foundation and balms. And don't forget I was receiving free samples...

And then it came - Thea's collection with 5th Avenue... I couldn't resist and moreover I dared to actually wear it in the summer!!! And I also got a sample of Desire... My future became very clear. In the end of August I made another huge order... and so on...

First I was a skin care + concealer girl... Now I am obsessed with colors girl, makeup geek, a happy geek :-)

I even bought a teal bag with golden zippers! I used to wear camel-golden bag for several years before. As it complimented my skin and hair (how could I have concerns I am yellow gal and experimented with pink foundies for years?!) and was ok with almost all clothes.

And now I am searching for my HG blushes from SN :-)
Current ratio, Sept. 13: 1 Ebony : 1 Buttery Gold : 15 All Purpose : 5 Ivory : 2 Yellow : 1 Liberty : 1 Beach Bunny
The mix is pale and does't look yellow

For me it is eye shadow and then blush. I just ordered a full size stellar which is my no.1 sn blush love right now. It is perfect for my winter blush.

Initially it was all eyeshadow for me, but after discovering SN, I was bitten by the lippie bug as well. The last few months, though, my makeup obsession in general has died down a bit & been replaced by an obsession with indie hand-blended perfumes. I can't get enough from Possets, Solstice Scents, Wylde Ivy, & Blooddrop.
