I wholeheartedly agree with Cupcake; Winter Rose is something special! It is subtle and feminine. :D

Andrea, Did you get Winter Rose? If so, how'd it work for you?
I did not. I realized that based on all the other shimmery lippies I have, they don't really look good on me :/
Maybe, one day I'll work up the courage to give it a try, especially when I sort through my stash and make some room :)
Thanks for your help though!
You're welcome! :) I came across this thread and I was wondering what you decided. :)

karen wrote:Welcome! What do you look like? It seems that you're gravitating towards cooler toned colors- so I'd kick out Berry Crush, Foreplay and maybe Birthday Suit if you want to go with just cool tones. Bloom is very very light as well.

Ooh one I may be able to help with too. If cool tones tend to look better on you, as they do me then you can cross off the ones Karen mentioned. I wanted Berry Crush to work for me b/c of all the rave reviews. I ended up passing it along to a warmer toned friend. I cannot wear bloom w/o lipliner. I have to wear a deep colored lip liner and blend it into the lipstick.

I can wear (in order of preference) Symphony, Rare Berry, Winter Rose, Raindrops on Roses, and Infatuation. Happy Shopping!

I am cool toned (fair, but not exceptionally so; cool-toned but not predominately pink undertones; ash blondish-brown hair; tealish eyes (blue w/yellow flecks) -- that's probably more info than you needed. I prefer lippies that are pinks, pinky-plums and/or with mauve/lavendar or lilac undertones. I cannot wear shades with much brown. Gee I am picky -- that, or I am a gal that knows what she likes! ;)

I've tried a few lippies and below you'll find comments on some of them:

Infatuation - hands down fav
Whirlwind - I like this, but cannot decide if it has a hint too much brown in it for me
Bobbi - this is as close to as nude as I can wear; I love it
Soft - this is one of my staples
Pout - is probably as light of a shade as I can wear
Bloom - pretty, but too light for me
Winter Rose - sadly, this didn't work well for me :(
Very Berry - beautiful shade, but too bright for me
Damsel - was ok on me, but not sure if love it enough to re-purchase

Lippies that were too dark & too brown for me:
Fig Leaf
Sweet Nothing

HTH! I hope it doesn't make your choice more difficult! :)

Infatuation is a must-try. And if you like Infatuation, then Pout is worth a try.

Cupcake wrote:Andi, I felt the same way about shimmers - they really don't work for me (unless very sheer like Gold Blush, even then, a bit iffy). Winter Rose is a revelation. I gave it away without trying it the first time I bought it but once I'd seen Emma wear it, I gave it another go. It's jumped right to the top of my 'must own forever' alongside Seedy. It's not so much a shimmer as a fine pearl / satiny sheen. I figure that you're pretty much my 'lip twin' as every word you've written about lippy I've wholeheartedly agreed with as far as I remember, so I'll be bold and suggest this might please you as much as it did me.
Does this make me an enabler?

I am a fan of Foreplay - it is a pit more peachy on me but has a nice shimmer. I just picked up Peace and it's my new fave MLBB shade. Very sheer pink with gold shimmer, not overpowering, brightens up my face and I think it would look good with almost any eye makeup look. I love love love the Kisser Slickers formula and can't wait to get more - good luck in your quest :)
