The making waves works really really well for me. I'm hoping that it comes in a full size soon because I too have long hair and I am going to run out very quickly! I have slightly wavy hair in the back and more curly hair in front and the gel gives me great waves all over without the hard sticky feeling the curling gel from aveda gives me. I use it after I towel dry my hair and if I wash it at night I can just wet it in the morning and it curls right up again!
Great job Karen, as alwaysl!! :D

I really love the Make Waves Curl Enhancing Gel! I have hair that is naturally curly in the back, but almost stick straight in front. I have tried many different gels in an effort to get the front of my head to match the back, but I have never had any success (short of a curling iron). This stuff did the trick though! Not only did it add a good amount of wave to the straight sections, but it stayed that way all day. As an added bonus, I didn't have any problems with it leaving my hair "crunchy" either, but perhaps I just didn't use enough for that to be an issue...
I really hope this becomes part of the permanent line soon, as I am carefully rationing what is left of my sample!

Karen, are you going to be able to make anymore of the curling hair gel? I really love it. I tried the volumizing gel yesterday and it works well too. I still need to try the hair oil. I really like the smell of it. The hair oil I have been using stinks. I actually bought the hair oil for the smell. I think I will give it a try tonight.

Alright, I've played with the waves gel for a few days! I like it. I've used a product that gave me stronger results before, so it's not the best I've ever used, BUT the biggest, best thing to me is that if you distribute it evenly through the hair and really work it in, then scrunch and use a diffuser (or let it dry naturally), you get soft, touchable waves, no crunchiness! Man do I love that! My hair needs a good cut, right now my layers are too long (the girl cut them wrong) so my hair doesn't have much movement, it just kind of hangs around... My hair is straight for the most part with some wave and body if I don't blow dry it or brush it out as it dries. Another thing I like is that the waves gel creates a lot of bounce and volume for my hair! Once my hair is cut I can see it working even better, and it'll get a LOT of use this summer! Ahhh, gotta love beach waves...

Haven't tried the volumizing stuff yet, will tomorrow or the next day when I feel like wearing it straight.

The hair oil smells incredible and absorbs really nicely into my hair! No greasy ends, makes everything smooth and silky.

Tried the protein conditioner as well and am very happy with the results! My hair feels smooth and strong, just like it does with any other protein treatment, but I like the ingredients of this one better! ;)

Starting another thread about the new conditioner...I <3 it!

I too have been playing around with the Curly hair gel gumball and definitely want to see it on the site in fs. I too use another product for curly hair which I like but is so expensive. I also use another natural co's hair elixir and a not so natural co's silk infusion-the first two times I used all three products together crunched and let air dry-I didn't like the effect-it seems too flat and didn't look good brushesd out either. The third time, yest. I only used the Curly Hair GB and let it air dry-the difference was amazing-nice soft bouncing wavy curls-it did take longer to air dry. Unfortunately I rarely take the time to use my diffuser. I have naturally curly, thick hair that is cut in layers. As I have aged my curls have become more waves but they curl right up with the right product and technique. This is definitely a keeper for me!

I got both the curling and the volumizing gels. I have used the volumizing gel after each of my last shampoos and must say that I adore this product! Not sticky at all and volume without the drying and flyaways I get with other products I have and have tried. I have very fine hair, but tons of it, and I only wash my hair 2 to 3 times a week.
I find that if i rewet my hair and add a bit more gel between shampoos it still does a great job, adds volume and smooths my hair nicely. Will definitely repurchase this when it comes back as full size, have already done away with other products I had previously used for this purpose!

My custom is to clip it in several sections and blow it out using a high-wattage hot air brush (I'm not coordinated enough to use a blow dryer and a round brush.) I think it's a Hot Tools 1000 watt with a gold barrel. This is the last thing I do before getting dressed, after applying makeup. I live in Fort Worth, Texas, so often we have high humidity. Today was one of those mornings- and it was even raining a little bit.

So, I applied a very small amount of the gel on my damp hair and clipped it in sections. I styled it with the round brush and was very happy with the way it looked this morning. It even survived my haul to work and walking from the car in the damp. Usually my hair is hanging in limp strings in this sort of weather, but not today!

Will repurchase when it becomes a permanent item!

I have dead straight fine flat blah hair (lol, see my avatar). I got both gels, thought I might as well try, but as I imagined, the curl enhancing gel had nothing to enhance, lol, so didn't do anything. The volumising gel however is awesome, it definitely gives my hair more body, even if I don't blowdry it (and normally it is super flat if I don't blowdry). I would love it scented too, just something light and yummy.
Thanks Karen :)

Oh my! Amazing!

I have got only Curling Gel (too much thinking about an order containing gumballs is not a good idea! Gumballs tend to disappear!). It arrived on Monday and I tried in on Tuesday... Gorgeous, awesome...

1. Love the texture - not sticky and upleasant. I didn't have that urge to wash hands after it I usually have.

2. I have curly back hair, but straight in front (it happened when I was pregnant. I had a short haircut and couldn't understand what was going on the back - it was as usual in front but back hair were strange. My hairdresser explained that they began to wave because of hormonal change. They were also leaving me very actively - that's why I had to cut them, but now it ok) - and I usually had to use A Lot of mousse or gel for front hair and they were becoming dirty very soon.

I did have to use more gel for the front, but not as much as I used to.

3. Hair keep being soft!

4. They do not smell with chemicals as they used to!

5. Gel feels light and it is light.

6. It gave me some root volume too!

7. It is Friday and my hair is still good! (though I was not wearing them free, so that didn't have much chance to grease)

Excellent! I am in the line for f/s, and I will surely present it to my very curly friend who is in permanent search of her HG hair gel. Hope to make her search over.

And, dear Fairy Cosmetics Godmother, what do you think of creating a hair spray? :-)

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

I was sure that Karen is unable to surprise me, that I got spoiled with the high quality and take it for granted. I was wrong! And I am happy to be wrong many-many times like this!
