Ghost! That is truly amazing! I am tearing up with you for sure! You go, Girlfriend!

I am holding at about 20 lbs lost. I need to get back going again, but I plan to celebrate Thanksgiving tomorrow (sensibly!) and then tackle it again!

hey, I have what I think is a brilliant idea (I think...).

I read that when you diet, your body goes into a starvation mode which affects your metabolism, slowing it down to be able to get more out of your food & so it makes it harder to loose weight.

Soooo, what about if you do the opposite, ie, eat plenty, but only really healthy food that is filling & things that take a long time to digest. I think some examples would be stuff like lots of fruit & veges, as well as beans & lentils, lean meat, but not stuff like cakes or bisciuts, chips, ...

What do you all think? I don't really have any nutrition experiance, but unless I have missed something, I think this must be a really brilliant idea! :D :D :D

Now, Miss Sarah, I know that you claim to be an "ordinary woman"- but really, and truly your accomplishments are truly rare.

So by the power vested in me by no one in particular I now pronounce you EXTRAORDINARY.

Way to go- it's truly an honor to watch you accomplish what you've accomplished. Thank you for posting about your journey every week, it's really a privilege for all of us.

Argh, I *accidentally* signed up for a 2 hour RPM ride (the normal class, which is pretty hardcore, and is known as 'the calorie killer' is 45 minutes, and I did one this morning, silly me!) to raise money for kids with heart problems tomorrow morning. What was I thinking??? I can't ride hard that long, lol.
My legs hurt.

Hi All

Karen & Jen: Thank you soooo much for your kind words, you have no idea how much they mean to me.

Karen when I go to parties now I can say "Yes I am crowned extraordinary" while tipping my crown (I get a crown right!!! )

Okay weigh day and I don;t know how I done it, but this week I've lost 4lbs??????? I've had a lot of cake (and bread) but I still lost? I can only assume it's due to the cold weather. My body is burning energy to get me warm???? Plus I walked around Gloucester Quays shopping centre for about 5hrs on saturday, that might have somethign to do with it as well.

Yay, 4lbs is heaps!

I did the 2 hr RPM class, and it was awesome, but then I got a tummy bug and have been sick since Sunday. Today one of the other Mothers at school gave me a lecture for losing too much weight at the gym, as I haven't been able to eat all week. It was kind of funny, she was really embarrassed when she found out I had been sick all week

I am feeling kind of stressed though because I soooo didn't need to lose a week at this time of year, with christmas shopping etc.

There are only a handful of people on the planet that can say they've done that - and I bet most of those have cheated with some kind of drastic surgery ;) You're certaily one in a million! Well probably closer to a billion hehe!!!

And Lily - 2 hours?!?! ARE YOU MAAAAD?! I can only dream of being that fit - 2 mins and I crack ;)

Of course it comes with a crown! Maybe a tiara for daytime wear too- or you could just opt for a scepter if the crown gets too heavy.

Glad to hear you're feeling better Lillychem- the flu is no fun, especially when summer is right around the corner for you. Way to go on the 2 hour ride- you're a brave woman!
