urgh. Did step. Tired.
Actually it wasn't too bad, I didn't make too much of a fool of myself (lol, I guess you never forget the moves - it has been 7 years) and although I am tired I am not feel-like-I-am-going-to-spew tired
Yay!

No.....no shame!! Being healthy and getting some movement into your day is all about positivity, life, and happiness, not shame! Adding guilt into the equation makes for a very miserable mindset full of rewards and punishment, elation and guilt...personally, I'd rather just get the rewards and elation!

So, instead of saying "Shame on me!" maybe you could change that mantra to "I am a beautiful woman, capable of setting goals in my life and reaching them! I aim to incorporate more movement into my life and choose foods that nourish my body. Every day those choices will be easier, every day this will seem more effortless. I am alive, and healthy, and whole, just as I am right now."

I know, it's longer, but doesn't it feel soooo much better to read and think about?? ;) Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to follow my own advice and choose to walk the dog. :D

Zeebs, I don't know how you can keep up the paleo diet, I am sooo bad about food :P I definitely agree with the principles of the paleo diet, I am just a super sugar addict! Where are some more resources for learning about the paleo diet? All I know is the basic idea, I didn't realise that legumes were off limits (I love legumes!)
Hi Lily, Paleo has a website here http://www.thepaleodiet.com/
and CrossFit recommends Paleo to its members http://www.crossfit.com/

I also have some articles that my doctor sent me that you will understand since you are a scientist, including a 55-page review article on grain consumption. PM me (anybody else is welcome to do the same) if you'd like me to send those :)

Hi Everyone,
So I did a jam (dance) class yesterday (sunday), so that makes 4 classes last week :) I have been enjoying myself so much! I've noticed that I have been drinking a lot more water too, which is good. Not really doing much in the food department, but I actually try to avoid that, as I used to have an eating disorder so it is better just to not go there.

So how is everyone going? Zeebs, I haven't managed to read any of the stuff you sent me yet, lol, I have had a very disorganised week! I have however gone to the gym 3x, so that is good :) I did 2x body balance classes (a mix of Tai Chi, pilates and yoga), and 1x body pump (a barbell class). I am really hoping to do a class this weekend, but it depends if I can get dh to watch the kids (I want to do a dance type class). The pump class really kicked my butt, I did it on thursday and did body balance today, and I am sooo sore, lol! I love that feeling though, I can feel myself getting stronger and more toned 8-)

Hi all

I had my b.day last week so I didn't get weighed. I got weighed Wednesday and I gain 3lbs in two weeks - dman!!!!! But I really enjoyed my b.day, my b.day cake was a thorntons triple layered chocolate cake yummers

That being said I determine to get back on track as I seem to be doing a bit of a yo-yo on the scale at the mo and I have notice that my discipline seems to be shot to hell. So I've set myself a 3 week challenge - I've got to lose or maintain for 3 weeks (this also helps because I'm still going to the nurse to get weighed every 3 weeks). So no chocolates (damn), no thorntons cake (double damn), no snacking on foods between meals and thinking it doesn't count. I'm determined!!!!!!!

So to give me a push in the right direction I'm giving up bread for a week (oh bread how I love the, let me count the ways). It's going to be hard but I goign to make a real effort to stick to it.

I have balls of steel that I borrowed from superman, but there are those days where I give in too and have that little treat. I also think it helps that I'm bigger then most of the ladies dieting here, so the weight does drop of. Those in the last 6 months I have found it harder.
