Sorry I haven't been posting much- summer is kind of hectic. It's tourist season here in Hershey which means I worked a lot of overtime and was pretty beat at the end of the day. DH changed jobs and works a grave shift so free time was mostly spent together. I'm also trying to come to terms with a progressive allergy to soy which generally pisses me off more than anything else since I find something new to react to everyday-previously it was more of a rarely occurring annoyance, but it's getting a lot more frequent. I've also been throwing myself into The Xarata Project full throttle (check my blog for my most recent henna inspired glass- this week's entry isn't done, but the glass i did tonight is up).

It was also horribly hot for awhile there so i wasn't wearing makeup at all and when i have been it's all been pretty uncreative (not that this one is particularly wow either but at least it mostly newer colors).
Pardon the eyebrows and the expression- i had cuter pictures but this one shows the colors the best.

I'm a bit surprised though, Cassis looks as if it is a bit lighter than Bombshell, is it that way IRL? I find Cassis to be VERY dark, but I haven't tried Bombshell so I can't compare...
They're both very dark and very dramatic, but cassis looks rather plum on me. Bombshell is my replacement for platinum red and is very close to that deep vamp red lippie look i'd love to have (not quite merlot/wine colored enough but still a knock out color).

I actually took this picture because of my new haircut (9+" shorter and lots of layers), but I happen to rather like my makeup so I'm adding it here.

Concealer- off brand yellow cream concealer topped with extra light SIAJ powder
Foundation- off brand (meow frisky sphynx i think)
Cheeks- Cider directly on cheek bone, sassy on apples, drama to contour
Eyes- Homecoming and Prowl (i know you can't really see my eyes, but I LOVE this combo and wear it often so i thought it was worth mentioning)
Lips- Peachy Pink lipstain topped with Gleaming

I like your cheeks a lot)
You have that youthful dewy look that we all dream about when we put tons on makeup on))) And you look so natural!

As for eyes - I hope once you close your eyes and make a good pic of your eye make up - I'll be waiting)
Current ratio, Sept. 13: 1 Ebony : 1 Buttery Gold : 15 All Purpose : 5 Ivory : 2 Yellow : 1 Liberty : 1 Beach Bunny
The mix is pale and does't look yellow

Not on me, that's for sure. It's more like a redder version of Summer Fling, almost leaning towards Vintage.
I wear it with Gemini, which has no pink in it either; both show rather warm on my skin/lips.
I like Cherry Crush a lot, its almost metallic sheen matches most of the stuff I've been wearing lately.

Sam, awesome swatches, as always!

Love, love, LOVE your makeup today Sam!! And the haircut...well, I've already gushed about that, but it is certainly perfect for you! My hair is close to that length with lots of layers in it, that's the only way it appears to have any body and movement, otherwise it hangs straight. I really should take the time to style it, but most days twisting in it a bun for a little while is enough to make the layers flip out a bit!

Egerandi- Mmmmm...tempting me... You know how annoyingly pink things go on me...but I have a hard time resisting lip glosses, they really are one of my favorite things! Vintage does not really go pink on me, it is cooler looking than the lippies I usually wear though, and probably a bit darker than I'd normally wear. Summer Fling is too pink.

Xarata,

Love your hair and makeup!!! The pink/peach stain is the PERFECT color.

Your hair texture looks alot like mine. Are you able to wash and go w/ your new cut? I always want a style, but I'm not even willing to blowdry my hair (even in the winter time).

I tried it once and no i wasn't really happy with it, but i also slept on it wet so it might dry differently otherwise. My hair gets more frizz and body than really appropriate for a layered cut though. I'm sure if i just want to wash and go to work (i have to pull my hair back) then it wouldn't be a big deal and i haven't tried letting it dry in a ponytail yet to see what it looks like that way. i actually googled how to give myself a proper blow-out specifically because of this hair cut. I generlally don't like blowdrying my hair either, but after a haircut i can be compelled to blowdry for at least a few weeks(washing every other day). i usually only cut my hair once a year and it grows pretty fast (the avatar i have up is from when i got my hair cut to my shoulders at the very end of december of last year. It was elbow length when i got it cut this year- my hair grows roughly 10" a year). Layers are work, but by the time i get really sick of keeping up with them, they'll have grown out enough for it not to be a big deal.
