Mahalo vs Teacher's Pet vs other shadows

Post by Annika » Sun Sep 12, 2010 11:20 am

I saw Cupcake's swatches in the swatch thread and found Mahalo and TP to look quite similar, TP only a bit darker. Would you say that is right? Are they similar to any other SN e/s that you know?

What makes Mahalo and Teacher's Pet stand out as exceptional eyeshadows - something that my camera could not adequately capture - is the fabulous texture and finish of the applied eyeshadow. A camera can only capture a limited amount of detail, so that richness of detail doesn't come across in swatch photos. Yes, the colours are relatively similar to several other shades but these are special for their texture. Just like Earth really stood out for it's satin-like finish, these have a superb velvety metallic finish. Hope that helps a little. A photo will show the colours well but I've yet to see swatches that show the full beauty of SN's eyeshadows.

Annika, even though Mahalo and Teachers Pet look similar swatched, on my eyes they look totally different. Mahalo is a perfect underbrow highlight shade......it melds in perfectly with my very fair yellow toned skin. Teachers Pet, while gorg, works perfectly as a lid color, but would be much too dark on me to use as a highlight shade.

I agree with what Laurie said. To me, Mahalo and Teacher's Pet look very different. Mahalo is very light and makes a great highlight color, while Teacher's Pet is a medium shade that works as a lid color.
