I have a bunch of face color samples - Halo, Love Lure, Tempt Thryst, Tinted Blur, Halo, Dait Bait etc. And have an eye on some other colors. And they all look good. And actually they don't make much difference in not applied in heavy layers (I did it only as an experiment).
They have different names and functions... but I can't see dramatic difference. It was easy with some blushes and shadowsto see do they fit me. But now I'm embarassed. Soon I'll have to go for a full size, but I can't decide which one to choose.
Maybe smn had the same issue and can share her experience?

Re: How to choose THE ONE?
I'd say try narrowing your options to 1 per category. So, 1 perfecting powder, 1 special occasion glow, and maybe the Tinted Blur if you really love the effect. After using your top choice for a while, you'll either love it or notice some way you want to tweak it!
If you're trying to decide which one suits your skin best, you could try swatching them on your face, applied heavier than normal. Kind of like stripes of color on your cheek or forehead, applied like a heavy blush application or eye shadow stripe. Or you could do the half face thing! Wait 5 minutes for it to turn at all, then check them in natural light. This is how I test foundation, blush, and any perfecting powders/glows. Hopefully one will seem to harmonize with your skin a bit better than the others and your choice will be easy!
If not, well, you could always get them all!

Re: How to choose THE ONE?
I'm terrible about narrowing down colors. Usually I'll get overwhelmed and just moosh them all together into one jar and then order full sized skin care to make up for it.

Re: How to choose THE ONE?
There's nothing wrong with an arbitrary choice.... there's no wrong answer
FWIW I went thru a lot of colors just experimenting but what I keep loving is the original perfecting powder, Splendid glow, Drama for contouring. I could do without the rest (but the rest is fun).

Re: How to choose THE ONE?
Oh, yes - Perfecting Powder is perfect and I had no concerns about having it or not)))
Others are fun)
I shall buy Liberty for sure cause I've added some to my foundation mix and it was nice!)) As for others - I love them all)))
They are so versatile... I used them as highlighters and blushes too)
I did as Superwahz suggested... and I liked them all) so different, but nice. So I feel I end up buing at least half of them)))
and I feel I'll get brave enough and post my pics in the fotd thread))

Re: How to choose THE ONE?
Wanted to say that one of the methods of making rating finally worked)))
I considered it to be a total waste of the precious powders, but couldn't think of anything better)))
It is called the method of the paired comparison. So I covered half of my face with one powder and then eventually one be one applied all the other. And kept the track who won each time. I repeated it till all the powders were not compared to all the other. It was fun. I spent almost 3 hours for it))) I didn't get the one) I got three))) But I'm still very satisfied with the result))

Oh, half-facing... erm research is fun! You may get funny looks from the significant other when you walk by, but hey, who said you can't wear multiple colors at once

No-one!!)))
While I was looking for a better foundation match I often walked out with such a face (when the difference was not too obvious)
that's ok)))
