Cleaned my closet THOROUGHLY and had to get rid of at least 50% of the clothes (maybe it was even more!) because they were too big! And another pile is waiting for me to tailor it.

I wasn't really trying to lose weight but apparently the Paleo diet has made over my body!

Nice job everybody who IS trying... hang in there!

I was thinking today that maybe I want to run 10 minutes every morning with my dog. I bet that sounds piddly to some of you who are fit, but I haven't exercised except for dance, disc golf, half-hearted racquet sports, and walking for a LONG time. 10 minutes would be like, unheard of for me. Last time I ran for over 10 minutes, it was compulsory for gym class credit. I got those Vibram running shoes and feel compelled to ...run?...in them.

I hope things work out for you at work (or maybe at a new opportunity, if need be). Enjoy your comfort salads and hang in there.

Oh yeah, a good taylor can give you a new closet :) I was going to just donate pretty much the majority of my clothes, and the taylor just breathed new life into them: yay for saving my clothes and money!

Aside from the weight loss, it's all about getting healthier, and sounds like you're doing well :) Have you tried sprouting too, or you just stick with the sprouted grain products from Amazon? I'm getting more and more ambitious: next step is trying to make my own sprouted grain tortillas. I wish amazon sold those like they do the pasta in bulk. We don't eat much pasta or bread, but tortillas we do, and the cost is becoming prohibitive, with Whole Foods selling a 6piece pack for $6 :/

I feel you on the running: i'm not a runner, but walk a lot too. Our new apartment complex has a gym, literally next door (the unit next to ours), but I have yet to take advantage of it. Those Vibram shoes are sooooo funky looking, but I did get some of the 5 toe socks, and starting to like them a lot. Good luck, I'm rooting for you if you'll try the running!

Thanks akren and zeeb for the encouragment. I'm hoping the job front will be a good thing in the end.

Okay as promised my befoe and after pics. 1st can I say in my before pic that I'm on hols in cornwall and when i'm on hols I don;t care what I'm I like like (hair pulled back tight) and it's exactly 1 week before I discovered SN (yes I remember the date I discovered SN). This is me sept 07, 3 months before I started my dieting in dec 07 - please be kind :D BTW I am pointing to a cliffs but sis cut it out :?

The bottom one was taken this morning and we were in a rush so you can see things in the background (please ignore). And I swear my face doesn't look at chubby in real life, bad angle taken by my 4ft 10" younger sister while I'm 5ft 9". This is a 9st 3lbs lost

Wowsa! You're absolutely stunning! I'm actually at a loss for words- the hard work, the self-discipline, the determination- it's just so amazing. You really and truly are an inspiration. I don't think I've ever met anyone in real life who's accomplished what you've managed to do. I nominate you for Queen of the World!

If the job thing doesn't work out you should just come to America and be a motivational speaker, or write a book. People need to know that this is possible- that they can do it.

And Congratulations Zeebs!! That's a wonderful accomplishment.

You guys are too much for me. The one thing that has kept me going is all the support I've received. I've never been so touch in my live from everyone who has congratulated me, said I was an inspiration, or just wished me luck on my 'journey'. I'm very lucky to have this board as well, you ladies are fab. I can't wait to get back from my weigh ins sometime to let you know how well/or bad I've done. I want to give you all big hugs, but you might have to settle for enormous good vibes going to all of you

Jen: You can totally do it, but for the record I think you look lovely..................... from your avatar pic, not stalking you or anything I swear. I save that for SN

Laurie: If I can do it anyone can. My only form of exercise before was reaching for the remote. Just take it one day at a time, try not to jump ahead, and the best diet is when you don't realise you're on one. It's tough to begin with but it does get easier and with the compliments you will get, it makes you want to strive harder. Feel free to blubber away, a year after I started dieting I actually sat down and thought about what I'd done and I started to get a little emotional. Being a larger lady myself I understand the emotions being big can have. My love and luck to you Laurie, if I was Irish I'd give you more

Karen: LOL I've never gotten a wowsa before thanks. Aw thanks for saying I look stunning and for my first order of business of Queen of the world is to make everyone day SN day. A national holiday for every country and a day where SN crew get to rest. Next order of business get doctors and chefs to make a calorie free chocolate, yum :D (why isn't there a smillie for licking your lips lol).

Sarah: Awwww thanks Sarah, I got my hair cut at blushes (my hair dressers) last wed. I was worried that I asked for it to be too short, but everyone seems to like it :D
