Okay, I am pronouncing Hot Blooded to be....wearable! :D If you saw my rant on red lipsticks, you'll know what I mean - I'm one of those people who can't wear red.

It's pretty intense, but it doesn't make me look like a) I've been playing in mummy's makeup again; or b) Bette Davis's stand-in in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?

Woohoo! I now have a red lippie. Must try to co-ordinate a look around that.

I do think Damsel is my favourite so far, with Infatuation running a close second, and Hot Blooded is great, too.

Yay! Red lipstick! Finally! :P

And did you notice the ten new blushes that are going to be released....soon?

Woohoo! I'm still playing with the new stuff from my latest (though Sweet Nothing disappeared on me - not surprised - the non-makeup-wearing population in this house is rapidly getting *seriously* into SN :) ).

I also found the perfect-for-me brush for Datebait and other FPs - this big floofy thing at Walmart - Studio brand - called 'Mineral Powder Brush'. It's huge, but barely holds any minerals, which is great for FP if you're pale, or glows if you're anybody, and costs about $4. Love the synths from SN, and I've got doubles of all of them, I think, but sometimes you just need something else, and the price can't be beat for this one. I'd hate to use it as intended for foundation, because it'd never work, but it's wonderful for things you don't want lots of on.

I already have four F/S blushes from SN for personal use - I see that number expanding greatly in the near future. Plus about 17 wearable lippies? Something like that. Unheard of for yours truly, and Love Lure is a great bronzer colour for me.

If you're looking for eyeshadows with gold tones, have you tried Luxe and Sprite? Plus Goldy-Gold (not as scary IRL as it looks on the site), and Gator Green - oh yes, there's also Sizzle, if you like a little blue with your gold, and you might fancy Bare (MAC Retrospek clone). Then there's Sierra and Sunlit Bark for the brown-gold vibe. In the current new collection, I agree that Honey is great, and it goes wonderfully with Charmed, which is a just-right lime green with gold flecks in it. Neither properly gold-gold, but both have definite gold tones to them. I reckon Bittersweet does, too, but that's one of the ten or so SN e/s's I haven't got.

This is a risky thread to read, ROFL! Should be labelled with a warning >>> KEEP NOTEPAD HANDY! I am so bad that I want to order a f/s Love Lure without ever having seen it & have no clue whether it'll even show up on me ~ but really, who cares? Date Bait is a MUST HAVE for me ~ though it doesn't add any color to my particular skindepth, it does a *grand* job of making my pores almost disappear.

Layered Damsel & Gold Blush yesterday since I love them both!

Today it's Rapture topped by Breathless ~ woohoo!

Funny, innit? I did order some samples the first time I bought something from SN, but I looked at the Datebait, Climax blush and a whole bunch of eyeshadows and lippies plus a brush or two, and knew I'd love 'em, so I went straight for it. Not sorry, either.

The only other place I've donw that with was The She Space, which is my other fave MMU company (me? eyeshadow fetish? You MUST be kidding :D ) Yes, I love Karen's shadows. I have almost all of them. It's just incomprehensible to me how anyone can live without a couple hundred eye colours, at least.

Man, am I on my way to weird old-lady-hood or what? :P

I just want to say I absolutely LOVE the lipgloss and lipsticks... it's something I wear everyday, even on days when I'm too lazy to put on any makeup. I have every one of Karen's lipsticks and a good number of her lipglosses and I'm hoping *crosses fingers* that there will be new ones in her MOAC !! :P

Love love love Breathless and Sweetheart... this is coming from someone who doesn't usually wear lippies at all.

Karen.. gotta tell u something about your Perfecting Powder. I was using another foundation before (my first actually) and had loads of blackheads/whiteheads/clogged pores. Every time my facial therapist worked on my face there was lots of groaning and tears (I've got a super low pain threshold). But after using PP for about 2 weeks, I started noticing a difference. I kept my mouth shut til my therapist came again just yesterday (a week later). She said there was a lot less and what little there was were all tiny ones.

So I'm pleased to say that your PP doesn't just give a great look to my clean face but it actually has helped clean my face too! isn't that amazing!

Look for a order for a full sized PP coming your way soon.. I'm using up all my sample pots already!

I love the lipglosses. They smell divine, leave a nice moisturizing layer of gloss on your lips and the colours are very pretty - EXCEPT I lost my Birthday Suit. I always have like 4 lipglosses/balms on me at any time and one day it went away. And just the other day, I found it - right next to my car, where I normally park at the hospital. Poor thing was all squished and dead

I'll just have to get more later!!

scy-that's such a bummer about running over your lippie! I think i've bought 3 of birthday suit- one as a gift

rhys- i know what you mean. I have 23 lippies (well...21 if you count that 2 are doubles. lol) and about 25 shadows. oh and i almost forgot. an order in the mail- with 4 more shadows, 2 more lippies, and the mascara (finally buying the mascara, i was selling a bunch of my lurebeauty stuff and silknaturals samples to someone i got completely hooked and SHE bought the mascara and told me it's absolutely perfect. And...it's cheaper than sheer cover mascara which i currently use. lol). I have sample jars of ALL the blushes (+1 sample jar of unrealeased "tart" blush) and 2 full sized blushes, 2 ultimate eyeshadow brushes, the baby buki, and technically i have 2 of the other brushes she sells but i didn't buy them from her (i bought them before SN's big boom on MMM). And I still want MORE. I'm chomping at the bit for MOAC! lol. What would i do without my magnetic marker boards- i wouldn't have any room at all! lol

I may need a magnetic marker board (possibly a magnetic marker WALL) when I get home. Oy, how am I going to tote all this stuff back? Something like 300 eyeshadows at this point, I can't count how many lippies (I need to replace a couple as they got stolen - good sign around here with the 'I'll never wear makeup' ladies suddenly wearing pretty lippies :), all the blushes, plus glows and finishing powders....I have LOTS of makeup.

Then I went and indulged my GoW addiction further. I love Sarafina for general skin care, but GoW has some speciality serums that can't be beat (and my Rosacea Serum is rapidly getting used up by the entire household, too - I'll convert them yet :), and in America I can get them shipped for $3 per order. Outside the country that jumps to $25 per order, so I went slightly....nuts. Me? Buying makeup and skincare? Going crazy? Yup, sounds impossible, but it's true :)

Have you checked out Chagrin Valley for shampoo bars, Samantha? I'm really liking them, especially since Bill went and discontinued his shampoo, so at least there's a few alternatives out there. I had to stock up on those for the same reason - international shipping, plus customs handling fee, plus duty tax, plus federal sales tax, plus provincial sales tax makes things awfully pricey at times. But they're nice, and only $6 each, so buying them here doesn't break the bank.

I need to sell my Lumiere foundations and some of their blushes - the foundations were okay-ish, but still caked on me, and after SN came out (which never, ever cakes on me), I decided I didn't need to put up with that anymore. But a lot of people like it, and they aren't as dry as I am. I still say SN can't be beat for texture and colour, though!

I'm not new to mineral makeup, but I am new to SIlk Naturals! I've tried many other mineral makeup brands (Everyday Minerals, Ocean Mist, Signature Minerals, Lily Lolo) and I must say that Silk Naturals is my favorite! The shipping is super fast, the product prices are great, AND the products are phenomenal as well. I'm so happy that this brand is always growing and expanding with new ideas.

I absolutely love the Perfecting Powder. I normally use the untinted one, but I could easily use the Date Bait powder as well (light-medium asian skintone). I try not to wear foundation unless I'm having a REALLY bad day, just because I'm lazy like that! (I'm currently still using a different brand mineral foundation, just because I don't have any problems with it at the moment-- the colour match is good-- and it was pricey, so I feel terrible about not finishing it.. I'll just have to wait until I'm done with it before trying Silk Naturals foundation!)

I love Silk Naturals Blushes as well! I have Climax, Rich and Flirt, and I honestly love them all. Rich would go really nicely in a body lotion because of the shimmer.

The lip glosses are also fabulous. I have Foreplay, Gold Blush and Infatuation. Infatuation is a little too cool/mauve for me, so it's not my favorite, but I do really like foreplay and gold blush.
