Eyeshadow/Lip Recs

It's my birthday this week, and I'm going to make a bday-present-to-myself order...

I'd love some recommendations, I want to get at least one special lip product & eyeshadow - I don't do shimmer in lip stuff, but apart from that anything is fair game

Here's a pic if you want to make specific recommendations for me, but just telling me your special favourites would be appreciated...

It's a shame you don't do shimmer in lip colors, I think Temptation would look awesome on your lips!

Bewitched is my favorite eye shadow Karen makes, it's the only one I have an extra of, in case she suddenly discontinues it! It's not as scary as the color pic on the site, brings the green tones out in my blue eyes! Highbeam would be pretty on you too, though it's very light so would be more of a subtle one color wash or a pretty highlight on you, Legend would play up those warm tones in your skin beautifully! If you like the more teal range, Sizzle might work, or Poly on the more bold end. My favorite eye look involves Sizzle, Poly, and Bewitched. Not for the faint of heart though colorwise...but it's my secret weapon, it always gets DH's attention!

My favorite is Centerfold, but that's more of an everyday color for me. I think Rare Berry would suit you well. It's a color that lights up my face, and I don't really need anything else but a bit of blush and I'm good to go. Right now I'm in love with St. Tropez and Summer Fling, and I think they would also look nice on you. Oh, and Truly, for sure. Everybody needs one

For your eyes, Breathe is a gorgeous morphing purple. Right now I'm loving Madison, and High Beam with Cabana - would bring out the blue in your eyes.
Fire is a versatile highlighter and color changer, it morphs depending on what you layer it on.

If you have specific color ranges you're looking for or stuff that you can't wear, we could recommend something based on that too.

Your picks made me smile, I have Rare Berry, Truly (love them both, even though Truly has some shimmer), and just opened my St Tropez...haven't had a chance to try it yet I've grabbed both High Beam and Cabana, and am getting Fire as my free shadow...I think it looks lovely. And some clear liner to start playing with the layering!

Superwahz - Thankyou! I'm working towards shimmer in lip colours, after only wearing clear balms or glosses all my life, I have a dreadful habit of constantly rubbing my lips together when they have product on them...it gets uncomfortable! Once I break my habit, watch out shimmer here I come! I was eyeing off Zinnia, but not sure if I'm brave enough

My boyfriend wants me to try red lips, and I had a revlon one that was free...it made me look like a hooker. No really! So I'm trying Bitten, it looks lovely and was recommended to me by someone else.

I love Cabana, Highbeam, and Fire! I agree with Egerandi, I think they'll look great on you. I'm eyeing Luxe myself, it's one of the only bronze colors I don't have... XXX is on my "to try" list too, I wanna see if it stays nude or turns pink!

I have a really hard time wearing reds, they just look awful. I either look like I've been playing in Mommy's makeup, or, well, worse. I have Bitten on my "to try" list, and just bought Zinna, so we'll see how it goes! Temptation by itself looks almost red on me, but in a flattering way, so I have a suspicion that I need orange-reds, not the pink-reds I keep trying.

Nice list, you're going to like Bitten! If you want to take a step back and go a bit more muted, Hot Blooded is a sophisticatedly understated red. I have just rediscovered it the other day, it was cast aside as 'boring' (sorry!) for a while. Finding a good red is difficult, but you just have to follow your skin tone. I'm lucky, I can pull off just about any red - or so I think, hehe.
