So tell me about the mascara?
So tell me about the mascara?
Save me from my waterproof Maybelline!
Re: So tell me about the mascara?
I wear the SN mascara! It's a pretty good what I call "all purpose" mascara. It doesn't claim to make your lashes triple thick or twice as long, and it doesn't. But, it gives a very natural looking boost to my lashes. One or two coats. Isn't clumpy, doesn't flake. Defines and separates and really, that's all I ask for! My lashes look a bit thicker and a bit longer. It's buildable if you want a more dramatic look. It's generally smudgeproof. If I cry or sweat a lot it'll start to run, but during a normal day it stays put for the most part though by evening it does smudge (like most mascaras I've used). It comes off well when I take my make up off and wash my face at night, it doesn't require a special remover, which in my book is a plus.
But for me the best part is it doesn't make my eyes itch!! I have a horrible time reacting to mascaras. My eyes itch, my lashes fall out, everything gets red and inflamed and I have to go without for over a week to help everything calm down. Never had that happen with this one...and I'm one of those people that even reacts to Almay (who swears theirs is hypoallergenic).
I've been using it for almost 3 years now and that's a big deal since I used to switch to a new brand every time I needed a new tube. I do wish it was in more colors... I'd love an eggplant colored mascara. I own both the black and brown Karen sells though.

Re: So tell me about the mascara?
I have it and like it and I HATE mascara. Thankfully I have good lashes and don't need to use it often. It goes on very natural and makes you look polished w/o being over the top. My bottom lashes touch my undereye area and most mascara smudge (even most waterproof big brands do), this is one doesn't. If you already have good lashes, I've found the the eye lash gel (or even vasaline) gives your lashes a huge boost. If I'm really feeling motivated I curl them and you would really think I had mascara on.
DId you end up ordering Mirage? I got my yesterday...not sure what I think yet.

I second what everyone said.
I love maybelline full an' soft also. But I always use SN on my bottom lashes no matter what crazy mascara I use. Sometimes I do want a bit more volume or length. Or blue mascara. No matter what, I use the never-clumpy, natural SN black mascara on my bottom lashes.

Re: So tell me about the mascara?
I used to always have this problem (also my bottom lashes just look way too long and spidery with mascara on) and just a few weeks ago I trimmed them with nail scissors and they look way better, plus I can wear mascara on them without smudgingJenK wrote:My bottom lashes touch my undereye area and most mascara smudge (even most waterproof big brands do),

You guys are all making me want the SN mascara, which I haven't tried yet as I am totally and completely (finally) paraben free. Tempting!
