Thanks that was fast :) So you would say I'm neutral? As for right now I really don't wanna do any exfoliation since I still have a few pimples in those areas in need of unblush I don't wanna make it worse, so my face isn't really fit right now for MMU. But ill give unblush a try again when my skin is better although I still think it's to sheer for my scars.I really wanna exfoliate right now but I'll try not to,I wanna wait for it to heal a bit first, Only been washing with water for a few days now and only been using a bit of aloe greentea serum and no makeup at all. Maybe nothing you can answer but do you think your skin can suffer if you loose alot of weight? I noticed lost like 5kg so now I'm down to 49kg(108pounds I think), could that be a reason for my bad skin? Since I never had issues with pimples before.

Diet definitely affects the skin. You need liquids for hydration and, believe it or not, healthy oils/fats in your diet to keep the skin looking more hydrated.

Exfoliation does not have to be harsh. Even some oatmeal and water can do the trick in a gentle way. Massage gently.

Unblush may not be the right concealer. You may want to try mixing one with Heavy Ivory and probaby Ebony in your case. It will work out to very close to your final foundation ratio. Heavy usually requires more pigment to tint (it is easier just to add less white), and you want your concealer a little lighter than your foundation.

Hi there!

I really love your foundation, and would like to get some for my mom. Her coloring is too hard for me to take a guess at, because she is both yellow and olive toned. I am also having trouble getting an exact match. I have both the ebony and the warm gold. The ebony was too pink, the warm gold seems a little pasty...I dunno. I mixed the leftovers of both batches together so we'll see how that turns out :) But I have attached a photo with the both of us and would love your input, my mom is on the right and I am on the left. Thank you so much!

Hi Alicia,

My initial guesses for you Olive, for her Buttery Gold or Warm Gold. The mix of your two batches might be pretty close for you, too. If you can get some Olive base for yourself, I think it will be spot on. And Buttery Gold is a Yellow, Olive, Golden color base. Warm Gold is peachy, golden, olive base.

For you 1 Olive: 12-15 Ivory
For your Mom 1 Buttery Gold:7 or 8 Ivory or 1 Warm Gold : 8 or 9 Ivory.

Hi, I just ordered the sample kit and I'm excited to find my match, what mixes should I try? Thankyou in advance!

Currently I wear MAC StudioFix in C6. L'oreal True Match in W8, but the color oxidizes and ends up looking muddy towards the end of wear. Most cool foundations are too ashy, but most warm colors are too yellow. It's hard to find the perfect balance. Cool eyeshadow shades and warm lipcolors are most flattering for me. I live in humid Florida so I'm looking for something with good coverage as well. I I tan very easily and I'm looking for mixes for both winter and summer. Here are my pictures:

Deep Ebony is a good place to start. I would try about 1:4 (1 scoop color to 4 scoops white).

I think the Olive base will be too warm, but a blend of Olive and Deep Ebony for your color base might be close. One thing you can do is swatch all of the color bases on your skin and see which is closest in tone. I have a feeling that the Buttery Gold and Warm Gold will be at about your depth without adding white, but they will still give us an idea of the colors you need. Let me know what you find if you swatch them all. I will have a little better idea of what to try next.

Hi ladies,

I'm looking to order some samples, but am quite unsure of my undertone!

I thiiink I'm neutral-cool because I look much better in silver jewellery and warm peachy blushes look horrible on me. But on the other hand, my veins are green and I've been told by MAs that I have very yellow tones in my skin!

Here are my current foundation matches (even these aren't EXACT..):

- Bobbi Brown - Honey (5)
- MAC - NC43/NC44
- NARS - Syracuse/Tahoe
- Lancome - Teint Idole - Beige Cognac 50
- Chanel - Pro Lumiere - 050

I've attached some pictures of me too; any help would be greatly appreciated :) TIA!

Hello! I think I need to adjust my foundation formula a bit.

A while back I posted pictures and asked for foundation formula help - and since then I've mixed up and used a formula of 1 ebony and 5 medium-coverage ivory. It's a pretty good match, but I think it might be a bit too pink. The skin on my chest seems more yellowish (maybe even more olive?) than the skin on my face. It's also likely that the skin on my face and chest differ slightly naturally... Hm. Any recommendations on how I should adjust my mix?

In the photos you look a tad warm, but they are indoors, so it is harder to read. Our darker bases are Deep Ebony, Olive, and Peach. I think you are best off ordering a sample kit and swatching these three to see which is closest to your skintone. In all of them you will need a ratio of about 1 scoop color to around 6 white.

I think trying Olive is a good idea. You will need 1 scoop color to around 8-10 White.
