Hi, ladies:
LOVE the products. Just a quick question - with my last foundation order, I ordered the oil control blur and have been using it as a primer as well as layering it between layers of foundation and on top as a finishing powder. It seems to work really well. My question is - does the oil control primer control oil better than the oil control blur? We are now approaching humid & hot in NY, so I wanted to order the most effective oil control product for the summer...and can one use the oil control primer as a layering product like the oil control blur? Thanks for your help!

Re: Oil Control Blur vs. Oil Control Primer
Personally, I think the Ultra Sheer Zinc Powder is more effective than either the Primer or Blur in terms of oil absorption. It's among the best multi-tasking product you can buy at SN. It is the best primer, I think- boosts your foundation coverage, and you can also add green or yellow booster to it in case you need some color correction. It calms redness and zinc is very soothing, and then there's the added plus of the sun protection it likely offers.

Wow, I didn't even know about the zinc powder until just now. Can you layer that between layers of foundation and use it as a finishing powder, or do you just use it as your primer? Thanks for the advice!!

Re: Oil Control Blur vs. Oil Control Primer
I would say that the OC Blur is better than the OC Primer (for me at least). However, I also agree that the Sheer Zinc is a great primer/finisher and probably as good as the Blur in terms of oil control.

I use it as a primer. However, if you want it to even further multi-task, you can tint it with some foundation base, or mix it with a tinted PP and use it as a finishing powder, because it's really quite sheer.
I use them in the following order:
Ultimate Luxury Treatment Powder
Ultra Sheer Zinc Powder (mixed with green and yellow booster + a smidgen of Buttery Gold base)
My personal SN foundation blend
Tempt Tryst + Blur + a tiny amount of Ultra Sheer Zinc Powder mixed with a little Yellow Booster and BG foundation base

Do you know how long the Zinc Powder lasts? I bought some last summer and havent used it since the fall. Should I buy a new one?royalgoddessbeth wrote:I use it as a primer.
