I outgrew another board...

You've all seen pictures of my collection. You know i hang it up on magnetic boards. Well...monday was SN xmas at my house with the delivery of all my held-mail from Thanksgiving. Of course those cute little packages had at least 1 of everything new and several fun surprises in true SN style. So with roughly 30 new eyeshadows, I did something unseemly- I packed away my foundation/finisher board to make room for color!I custom tweak my foundation into a swirly bowl about once a week and I hardly ever wear finishers of any kind any more so it really was time for them to go into storage for when i run out of foundation 30 years from now.

I also ran out of magnets... I buy them in bulk...140 magnets at a time...and i ran out...again...

Sounds like I'm getting pretty close to your "stash." I have a dedicated dresser for my SN stuff in "my" bathroom, which is also the guest bathroom. (Bear in mind, ladies, that I just started regularly wearing makeup two years ago when I found SN. My previous "necessities" could fit in a quart-size ziplock bag.) I use the magnetic boards for e/s, blush, cream eyeliners, brow color, et. al (I.e. everything smaller than a foundation-size jar.) Was still struggling with finding color combinations quickly (it's just so easy to go to my faves and not give the others the chance they deserve), so I printed out the colors from the website and taped them to the inside of the bathroom mirror. Of course, I'll have to add any new colors that make their way into my future orders, but that's just fine! This strategy keeps all my precious bounty out of hubby's line of sight, and it does start some great conversations with the ladies who use the bathroom. Then again, what were they doing in my bathroom cabinet?! Lauren

I have a five-drawer organizer chock-full of SN eyeshadows and blushes, three drawers organized by eye color, one drawer of highlighter shades, and blushes in the very top drawer. I haven't counted in awhile. I also have a three-section tray to keep track of lippies. And then I have a little mini trunk with bags of mixers for foundation, finishing powder, zinc/primer. And lastly, a box with my daily skincare in it.

In Apt 2, we had 2 bathrooms- that was mine. Apt 3 was inside the wall of 1 of 2 closets inside our bathroom- see the lippies on the wall? the last photo is from when we moved into our current apt/house which is a closet inside the bathroom. At the time, the purple/white board contained blush.

Awesome collection! As a wife and a mother of 5, I don't have a place of my own anywhere. So I put my stash in a drawerset.. I would just love to keep everything in sight and well organized. Maybe one day...

And I agree, a more detailed picture would be really nice!!

I outgrew all my little boards and now just have a giant one, the biggest I could find! Though I think I'm gonna have to add another one soon because the glows and such aren't gonna fit once I get all the newer shadows up. Gotta go get more magnets!

I tried boxes and bags and such but kept forgetting about colors I had... There are no little hands to get a hold of my make up in this house and the dog is more preoccupied with the lippies, which are all stacked into a few of those 3 slot containers ELF sells, along with brushes. I have all mine in my office right now, so when I need a mind break I just turn around and take a little color vacation...

When my teenage cousin comes to visit next month and sees them all she's gonna go crazy! She thought I had a ton of makeup when she was sorting through my travel bag...and I think I travel light.

I am in the same boat, I have to keep it all locked up, my 6 year old has inherited enough as it is, and the 2 year old eats lippy, lol.
