What is it like, anyone tried yet?
Placed my order yesterday and now so hopeful receiving it along with other goodies.
Liking a great deal of SN skincare products I am impatiently waiting to pat it on my face :)

I too have just recieved this with my order and haven't tried it yet because I don't know how to use it..I e-mailed karen and asked but no response yet...it seems interesting tho but I'm not sure how to use it or what to mix with it. If anyone has tried it please let us know! I would love to try this too!

All of Karen’s masks come in powder form, so they last longer/have a longer shelf life, which is great!!

for any masks that are powder form, you can use anything you want to mix it with. the most simple would be water (preferably distilled or pure). You could also use a toner that you like. My toner is a mix of red wine vinegar, with camomile tea and honey, so I could easily mix this with the mask powder, and it would be very nice.
You can use carrot, tomato or any fruit/veggie liquid to mix. All raw fruits have nice exfoliating qualities, so this could add an exfoliation part to the mask. You can use any tea you happen to have on hand, or even aloe vera liquid or gel. Really, any liquid you want!!!

The easiest method I have found is to put about a quarter size amount of liquid into the palm of your hand (make your hand scoop shaped), and add about a dime/nickel amount of the powder to the liquid in your hand, and mix (with a toothpick, stick, or, I use my finger) and get it to the consistence of a mask. At this point, you may need more liquid or more powder to get the amount and consistency you need/want. But be aware that if you add the liquid after adding the powder, sometimes it can make the powder go “poof” , or it can push the powder off your had, and make a big mess. I use my toner normally for the liquid, and it is in a mist bottle, and the time I put first the powder and then sprayed the toner, it blew all the powder out of my hand and all over the sink!!!
You’ll get the hang of it, do what ever is easiest for you. I am sure you will love the masks, they are fabulous!!

Oh yes, the poof... Happened to me many times before I learned how to use the mister better. Why didn't I think of reversing the order, I have no idea :D Thanks!

Oh I see, thanks for the instructions! I will try this tonight, would you say just enough liquid to get the right consistency? i am hesitant to scoop it in my hand, hence the poof thing lol but I rather mix it in a bowl.

I just pour a little water directly into the baggie, reseal it, squish it to mix it and voila! Job done. Don't squish too hard or leave air pockets in it or it'll burst, obviously. Don't use too much water (or other liquid) just a teaspoon or two, a few drops at a time until you like the consistency. Easy.

Ooh cupcake, thanks for that, I like the idea of mixing in the baggie. I have a powder mask that I have had hanging round for a while because I have been too lazy to mix, but this sounds easy enough even for lazy me

I would do the same except that I don’t want to use all the powder at one go...I can get at least 3 or 4 masks out of the baggie ;) . Not that I am being stingy but I find with the benefit of my toner’s ingredients, I don’t need to get a thick layer on. Unless of course, you use a different baggie to do the mixing so as to not use all the powder at once...that would work as well.

Pinknika, you could definitely use a little bowl, like a small ingredients or serving bowl. I am using the wrong word…but you know when you go to ‘fancy’ restaurant sometimes they have the salt and pepper (and maybe other sauces...etc.) in these cute little bowls? Those are the ones I have on hand. I use them for my foundation, but you could also use something like that for the mask. I don’t use a bowl (I used to) because I found I wasted more...it would stick to the sides and dry and I couldn’t use it...so with my hand, when It starts drying, I spritz it again then just wipe the rest directly from my palm to my face!!
I’d start with less liquid than too much, which will just make a liquidy mess and not stick to the face, and be too thin. It Is easier to add more liquid as you need, rather than the other way around.
does that make sense? :?:

Easy enough to keep one of those handy strong zip bags that SN package their liquid bottles in. Use it for mixing, or decanting some powder into for next time.
