What to do with Breathe?

Post by feyith » Wed Mar 10, 2010 5:34 pm

I got a sample of Breathe and the color foiled is AMAZING! It's indescribable, like imagine what you think something magical like a unicorn or a fairy should look like and that's Breathe. The things is, I can't think of a situation that I would ever actually wear it for. I need an excuse. What do you ladies pair it with?

I love these types of colours under my lower lashes in a wide smudgy line. It plays up the light, adds a pop of shimmer and colour and looks fun without being overdone. My eye shape and heavy brow doesn't suit a regular liner worn under the eye or I start to look piggy-eyed, but this is do-able and fun. It's just a quirky little indulgent eccentricity. If you also take it right around the inner corner and just up onto the lid, lined, it looks stunning for a dressed up look if the rest of your makeup is traditional / bland / neutral. It's 'just' enough.

I wear Breathe with black for an evening/fun look. During the day I think one could pair it with a shimmery cream color and a neutral shade for the outer v as long as one kept one's liner/mascara understated and one's lips nude...fun for spring weekends!

I tried it as a wash, first I put on cream (I think....) all over, and then breath over top the whole eye lid, then I put something in the V, but I can't remember what...I want to say taffeta, DH loved the look, he loves anything that has blue...strange....blue doesnt even suit me, breath worked because it has the pink in it, and the tinge of blue/purple.
I think I will try it again this weekend. :)

I wear it as a one color wash with a highlighter at the inner corner of my eyes and brow bone, or foiled (intensifies it if I want a lot of color on that day), or paired with bewitched in the crease/outer v and a dark purple/black liner for a smoky purple eye. I've also paired it with a blue toned turquoise before that turned out rather pretty. I bet blending it over a blue toned gray would make it more neutral, but still really feminine and light... Hmmm, gonna have to try that next time I'm wearing something that'll go with it!

Cupcake is right, it looks really cool as an under eye liner! I tend to wear it on days when I feel blah or allergies are bothering me. Lavender/light purple colors help the eyes look more open, fresh, and awake IMO.

Today I wore Buttercup (matte butter yellow) on the lid with Breathe on the outer half. Kind of a retro 70s inspired thing... weird but turned out okay!
