The day I met Rosemary Conley

Post by Ghost » Fri Mar 05, 2010 4:00 pm

I hope no one minds me doing a different post to the diet.

As you may or may not know on the diet thread I have mentioned (once or twice) that I have joined a Rosemary Conley fitness class. For those of you who don't live in the UK, Rosemary Conley is the queen of dieting and a healthier lifestyle. She been doing it for about 20 (but possible 40) years now so she know what she’s talking about when you want to lose weight.

Well today I went to the Rosemary Conley Roadshow in Yeovil, somerset (south west of the UK) and I got to meet the wonderful women in person while she signed my book. And she congratulated me on losing my 7st 6lbs and said she was looking forward to me being one of her slimmer of the year (they do a photo shoot in her magazine with before and after photos once they reach their goal weight). She is a wonderful women and I may have mentioned this once or twice but I think she ROCKS!!!!!. Not only SN (and this forum) but Rosemary's exercise dvd have change my life for the better. I'm much happier now, energetic and have much more confidence in myself which is why I have so much admiration for her. Now if I can convince Karen to have a roadshows, let alone in England, I’d get all fanatic about her too and tell her how much SN has change my life for the better.

There were 200 people who went and here is a photo of my group. This is just a few people that go to the classes - fair warning we just did an 45 min exercise so I look haggard  Also I have done two works out today and my SN foundation is still going strong

That is too cool! And you look stunning! Slimmer of the Year sounds very very very incredible!!!!! You're gonna be famous, and one day we'll be at your book signing. I can't wait.

Actually a roadshow isn't out of the question. I keep thinking that on one of our trips to visit my MIL we'd do a European meetup sometime. I think we're going to visit MIL in May.

Oh how exciting to meet someone who has made such a difference in your life!! It's incredible how one person's journey and pursuing their own passions in life can have such a powerful, positive effect on scores of others. People too often forget the power of one. ;)

I think your weight loss is just amazing and so inspiring...and might I add I don't think you look haggard at all in that pic, you look absolutely beautiful!

Oh Jen that's so nice of you  I try and take it one day at a time and I'm so glad I'm in a place where I'd rather lose weight then have that cream cake.

Oh I don’t look great, my hair is all sweaty but thank you for staying I look stunning. Oh I so cannot wait, when I'm in that magazine (and I'm going to be in that magazine) I will have a the hugest smile on my face with a great sense of accomplishment  My book  Karen you're making me blush. But I'm sure once I go on all the talk shows and made my deal with Oprah I'll get used to all the fame. Oh I'd love to meet up but unfortunately I don't have a passport or I would have found some of excuses to visit America to go to SN. I have been thinking about getting one for a while now, maybe I should!!!! Though can you imagine when I've lost all my weight and I don't look like the photo anymore ha ha ha ha ha ha

Yeah I was grinning from ear to ear after I talked with Rosemary and she is such a friendly warm person. Oh yeah people would be amazed at what you can do when you put your mind to it. And I firmly believe that the worse person who can hold you back is yourself!!!! And thank you Superwahz for saying I look beautiful, that's very sweet of you : )

I want to thank everyone for their kind words they've given me on this forum. The encouragement I receive (especially when I'm having a bad day) means more to me then you'd ever know. It even means more to me then new make up from SN, and for those of you who know me you know that saying a lot LOL

I know I can face almost anything with great people like you guys behind me!!!

You should get a passport!!! You're going to need it for your book tour, and appearance on Oprah. She's going to be off the air next year, so it's time!

I've been cruising around the web and both Ryan Air and Easyjet have stupid cheap flights to mainland Europe if you fly from London. It looks like a round-trip ticket to Marseilles is about 30 pounds....that's only about an hour from MIL's house.

You should totally come to France in May! It would be so much fun...we could hide from the sun on the Riviera! You could bring your sister, or Cupcake- we'd have a blast.

You really look great, Sarah! After exercise I look like a pink sweaty blob lol but you look very composed, fantastic!

I've got all my forms filled out for a passport I just always forget to get the photos taken, or when I do remember I have no makeup/greasy hair/massive zit, and I'm not having a photo like that following me around the world!

Maybe you could start up your own exercise and diet class?! I'd join you could use your balls of steel to keep me on the straight and narrow ;)
