Big Snow Storm headed our way....

So the move went fine until about Tuesday when an entire set of shelves came down, taking out a critical piece of equipment, and several products. We're digging ourselves out of that hole, and things feel like they're finally starting to get a little bit better.

BUT the big news here is that we're supposed to get about a foot of snow today. A foot of snow isn't a big deal up here, but it's relatively warm so this snow is heavy and it's supposed to get very windy. The National Weather Service is saying be prepared for big power outages because some trees will come down and take the power lines with them (why we don't bury them like in Europe I'll never know).

Right now it's not looking that bad outside, but there's a chance we may be without power for a few days. It's probably a slight chance, but in case you don't hear from us it's because we have no electric.

I'm a couple hundred miles from you guys in northern NJ and it's the same here. I was on my way into work when my boss called to tell me to stay home. I wish I would have gotten that call a little sooner! Stay safe and warm!

Stay safe and warm - and hey, if the snow gets bad or the power goes out, look at it as a chance to have a couple days at home to rest and decompress after all that hard work and, no doubt, exhaustion. Minerals can always wait a few extra days! Besides, here in Scotland - which never usually has anything worse than rain - every major road is blocked with unprecedented amounts of snow. So even if you did put in extra effort to get parcels out, they'd only sit in mail service warehouses while delivery vehicles are stranded anyway. Take good care of yourselves first and foremost - we already know you'll take good care of us when things are back to normal again.

I'm in Cleveland, Ohio and we're supposed to get the back end of the east coast storm-6"-10" by Saturday. I'm so tired of my boots and cleaning my car off! I'm sorry to hear about the shelf coming down. Stay warm and safe Karen and SN team!

Bummer about the shelves Hope the snow stays away. we don't get snow here, so I kind of feel jealous of places that do too, but really, I am too lazy to shovel sidewalks, lol.

I live in Colorado and the snow usually melts within 1-2 days of falling (except this winter ). Our house faces west and because of the intensity of the sun (I also live at a higher altitude) we almost never have to shovel our front walks as they usually melt within 24 hours...and unless we get more than a few inches of snow, we don't bother shoveling our driveway LOL. We're lazy that way, too. You're supposed to shovel the walkway within 24 hours of snowfall and most of the time it melts within that timeframe so we just wait and let nature take care of it
