Wishing you luck!

Excluding most processed carbs seemed to be helping me finally getting out of the rut. Woohoo!
I still get plenty of carbs from my fresh fruits. The hardest part was throwing away a half-empty jar of Nutella, my heart was breaking...

That is tough... it's lethal stuff to have around though - if it's in the cupboard and I'm really craving something sweet, spoon meets jar and it all gets a bit messy!

Messy is right! I kept in the fridge, because it's harder to get out too much if it's cold and hard, but what ended up happening is me shoving my fist into the jar trying scrape out some of the delish fragments... Yeah, not my proudest, but definitely one of the happiest moments :D

I can still eat dark chocolate (above 70%), so I ended up buying some gourmet stuff from Amazon that should last me for a while.

Hey all

It's weight day again and this week I've lost 1lb - not as much as I was expecting but I'm so glad it's not a gain  Here to a bigger lost next week

Sewwies (Sarah): way to go glad you can breathe in your trousers and keep a hold of the balls, you never know when they will be needed again. According to my friend those balls of steal work against stroopy boyfriends as well. For nice treats that don't add to the waist line, pop to Marks & Sparks and checkout their count on us range mousses. Their chocolate mousse (4 for £1.29) is to died for and I going to treat myself to a layer chocolate muffin mousse thingy at the weekend and their count on us crisps aren't half bad. I mean they aren't walkers but they hit the spot but not the waist - teehee. My one weakness at the moment is BREAD. I'm a sucker for bread, can't get enough of it - baguette, rolls, pizza, toast yum yum. Keep up the good work Sarah

Karen: Thanks yeah I worked hard and I worked hard again this week and I only lost a pound - its those damn scale again, little bugger's

egerandi: Damn straight I gave those 3lbs the bird (actually I'm british so it's was two birds  ). Oh god I haven't had nutella in years, I didn't know it was still available in the UK..........yum.

Clivia: 11lb in a month thats amazing well done. Yeah it's always easier in the begining, then your body gets used to those calories and it's that much hard. Keep it up girl, you're doing well.

Well done everyone

Do you throw them at bad boyfriends?! Heh... I'm breathing but a few extra pounds would have me breathing while moving so keeping at it! Had a dip on Saturday when I was watching the Rugby, the only Welshie in a room full of English boys watching poor Wales get beaten, I needed a glass of cider and a couple of those Lindor balls to get me through! Lol...

I think you need treats, as long as you don't overdo it! If there's no treats in sight you lose the will to do anything.

One funny thing I heard an old(ish) lady say in work once "... you can't just keep denying yourself these things. I woke up this morning and made my breakfast and thought to myself, if I get hit by a bus today, I'm going to be so angry I didn't have butter on my toast!"

Tickled me!!

Hey sarah

They work a charm on bad boyfriends too

Ohhhhhhhhhh you're a welshie, I didn't realise that (why don't forum comes with accents. You could hear my Gloucester who-ers). My sister lives in wales and my aunt is married to a welshman so my cousins have a thick welsh accents (my cousin Gareth speaks so fast I have to ask him to slow down sometimes). Also my younger sister is named Sian, which is welsh for Jane.

Oh no - stuck with a group of english boys and you the only welshie. be strong, be very strong and you deserved those Lindor balls. Hmmm yummy, lindor balls - can't have just one.

Yes I would be very angry if I got hit by a bus and I didn't have butter on my toast. Actually my first thought would be "but I have a SN package coming and I haven't had a chance to play" :D

Hehehe yeah! I could have had more lindor balls! I'm from Conwy in the north, haven't really got an accent, a bit of a disappointing welsh person really! I knew Sian was a Welsh name but had no idea it was for Jane, I've learned something new :) missed the rugby today (night out last night hehe!) but they've brought it back! Hoorah!

Sarah you don't have a welsh accent. You are disappointing welsh, shame on you  My sister and auntie and I forgot my friend Jane all live the south wales and they all have accents. It's quite funny when I talk to my sister on the phone she sound utterly werid. She grew up in Gloucester like me and sh has been living in Wales for about 5 years now. She sounds cross between haggrid and catherine zeta-jones

Way to go Sarah!

I am embarking on my own little fitness project. I need motivation to exercise regularly. I have a thing for Fiestaware (an American company that makes ceramic dishes in bright colors) and I want to go to their factory/outlet store. It is fairly close to where I live...about 89 miles. I decided that I need to cross country ski there (mostly because the equipment I have at home is a Nordic Track.) I am about 5 miles in......and am hoping to 'get there' by sometime this summer. I did not get on the machine today, but I will tomorrow....and I am shooting for weekdays. I can maybe max out at 10 miles per week, but that would be totally working my butt off. Literally. ;) I gotta step away from the scale and try a different approach, so this is it.

That's the most fun quest I've heard for a while! Go, Jen, Go! I tried to learn the real cross country on my vacation, man it's painful, hehe. I don't like exercising much, I'd rather do something else, like walking everywhere, and my friend and I are starting a garden, so there will be digging and other fun physical labor :) I also prefer walking to and from the market, and come home with waaaaay more stuff than I originally planned, so there is my biceps curls :D
