That's a really good idea! And yet another wish list item for Karen : Lip Primer!lwoodall10 wrote:I use ELF's studio lip primer and blot it and it blocks out my natural lip color. Which lippies are lightest?

Modern Poet is light and so is Ice Princess. I also have Sparkle that I use under other colors to lighten them. The only other color that kinda lightens my lips is Peace: lighter pink with a bit of frosted sheen if that makes sense

Re: Which lippies are lightest?
(sorry to hijack) I just bought that and tried to use it, with some success. How do you apply and blot? Are your lips dry before you apply or use a lipgloss first? One layer? I'm curious, because even the half success I had with it opened up many options for the lippies I just kept pushing aside. I'm wearing Figment today on top of it and love the light sheen. I also like the way it looks without the primer, so it's win winlwoodall10 wrote:I use ELF's studio lip primer and blot it and it blocks out my natural lip color. Re: Which lippies are lightest?
No idea if it's lip safe or not - what about the SN eyeshadow primer? It's a pure white base. Could that work under lippy?
Re: Which lippies are lightest?
I'll have to check out Peace, I'd love to find a frosty lippie, I thought Bloom would be frosty (maybe its just my sample thats wacky, I think I will still get Bloom to try, because it says it is almost milky in the description, which is what I am looking for).
By the way, I tried to use concealer as a primer on my lips, and while its not the best primer because it made my lips look super dry and cracked, it did work well to make my Precious lippie show up as a really pretty pink, ususally it doesn't show up at all. So definatley need a lip primer now, I asked about it on the Wish List section. I'd love to have one that is as natural as possible and also paraben free.

I wonder too if it is safe and if it wouldn't be too drying. It has Aluminum listed as an ingredient, that's wierd, like it has the actual metal in it?Cupcake wrote:No idea if it's lip safe or not - what about the SN eyeshadow primer? It's a pure white base. Could that work under lippy?

My lips are medium pigmented and Bloom doesn't seem that milky on them. The look is very natural - like MLBB. It's definitely not frosty on them either, but some girls do claim it is. I wonder what that might depend on!Oxana124 wrote:I'll have to check out Peace, I'd love to find a frosty lippie, I thought Bloom would be frosty (maybe its just my sample thats wacky, I think I will still get Bloom to try, because it says it is almost milky in the description, which is what I am looking for).
If I were you, I'd still give it a try I think. It's really a sweet looking pink :)
As for Peace, it does show quite frosty on me. Unfortunately for me because I don't wear frosty lippies at all (luckily, my mum does!).

Re: Which lippies are lightest?
I usually apply a thin layer and then take some tissue and blot and then I do the rest of my makeup and by the time I am ready to put my lippie on the primer is set. I found if I just put on the primer and then put the lippie on directly after the two colors mix together and you get kind of a milky look. That has worked on some occasions, but not allegerandi wrote:(sorry to hijack) I just bought that and tried to use it, with some success. How do you apply and blot? Re: Which lippies are lightest?
Tender did not lighten my lips. I have similar issues. The only ones that did were Gleaming, Mirage (a little), and XXX. I think Sparkle would be good for that but I haven't tried it.
Re: Which lippies are lightest?
When I read a lippie is "frosty" I think of tons shimmer that it makes the lipstick almost "white".
To me, Bloom is not frosty at all. I don't see any shimmer which I'm so glad because I much prefer my lipsticks to have no shimmer whatsoever.
