If my favorite colors are Fete, Frills, and 9:59...
If my favorite colors are Fete, Frills, and 9:59...
... what else would you recommend? I want to expand my repertoire but sometimes have trouble selecting colors.
My eye color can be seen in my avatar. I wear a lot of neutral pinks and yellow/gold/copper colors but I'm looking to branch out. I usually need to avoid purples (Vineyard and Velvet worked for me though), and blue/green is touchy too, because of my eye color.
Anything too warm like Legend or Luxe doesn't work... but anything too cool, like Sandy, also doesn't work.
So based on Fete, Frills, and 9:59, do you ladies have some ideas for me?

Ithink you'd be happy with almost any of the one color washes: http://www.silknaturals.com/creb/index.php?cPath=29_84
and anything labeled "neutral": http://www.silknaturals.com/creb/index. ... 50&&page=2
For reference, my eyes are pretty much a slate grey with darker rings but will change color (most often to green but also blue or hazel) depending on what i'm wearing. My skin is fair neutral leaning warm (little golden, little olive) and i can wear most eyeshadow colors. i avoid blues because i have a blue veins at my temples, but really enjoyed the smokey blue quad. *For all the colors below if you right click and go to properties, you'll see the link they're pulled from with the color name at the end.
(From those two links)
All the pinks should be safe and gorgeous:

there's a lot of safe neutrals:

Have you tried Purr? I bet that would go nicely with 9:59. I don't have the latter, but based on the swatches it's kinda similar to what Pink Twink looks like on me (which is also something I would recommend for you if it ever comes back).

You sound like me, Zeebs; I must collect all plummy pinks with gold sparkle. Were you able to grab a Pink Twink and Quiver before they went away?
Breathe and Pop work surprisingly well, too. I can't wear anything that is too bluish purple, or I'll look like I've been punched in the eye. But I mixed a little bit of 9:59 with Breathe and it is now my favorite color!
There was a lovely gumball in the sack of stuff called Queen for a Day. It's like a cross between Cherry Blossom and Pink Twink?
Plush is about as dark as I can go and I'm beginning to think that I NEED Purr.

I put off trying Soiree for ages but it's surprisingly flattering. Plush is another favourite (and I can't do rich plums around the eyes but this is SFW with a twist). Brimstone has enough grey to be firmly neutral with just a polite nod towards the purples (although a touch of Fire over it brings it to new life). Brown Sugar has a must-see complexity and is easy to wear lightly. Mink is very safe if Brown Sugar seems too deep. Cashmere is probably already a staple, if not, it's worth trying as it's just the right depth to be versatile (lid wash or crease). I'm also very fond of Velocity as it's far easier to wear than similar warm golden colours - this one would bring out your eyes - and if it didn't work, it's sheer enough to pat over staple colour just to give them a little veil of shimmer for a slight differece.
My eyes are the same as yours, my skin a little paler and yellower. For reference, I can't wear anything in the tan-mustard-olive bracket (Aztec was the worst colour for me) so I usually go for neutral or nearly neutral (with maybe the bright colour in the shimmer, for a soft touch rather than a bold colour).

It's more like the original Cherry Blossom married with Whisper. It's the prettiest colour I've ever seen. It's too beautiful to wear; I just look at it lovingly.feyith wrote: There was a lovely gumball in the sack of stuff called Queen for a Day. It's like a cross between Cherry Blossom and Pink Twink?

^ Thanks, Cupcake. I will have to give Whisper a try now. ^
Mink! Zeebs, have you tried Mink? It is lovely!

Cupcake, How do you wear Brimstone? I love it and am wondering how others wear it?

I just saw a pic in EOTD, page 4, towards the middle, check it out!

Oh thanks for showing me that, it looked so pretty. Although I think it looks a little darker on me. I think we've chatted about Brimstone as a wash before.egerandi wrote:With Fire, of course :pTrainer wrote: Cupcake, How do you wear Brimstone? I love it and am wondering how others wear it?
