Golden Copper eyeshadows

Post by kinjali22 » Wed Jan 27, 2010 2:25 pm

I am new to eyeshadow and after alot of experimenting, I've found that warm meduim/tanish golden to copper colors look best on me. I have a tan olive skin tone, very dark brown (black) eyes, and deep set eyes. So these colors seem the best to make my eyes "pop". What SN eyeshadow colors would you ladies recommend in this color range? TIA!

Orbit! And get the other ones that go with it, for complete look.

Legend looks nice too. For a little twist on copper, try the combination of Fire and Brimstone.

Orbit, Legend, fete, brown sugar is actually copper, chestnut is beautiful, fire is a copper morph, dazzle is a copper modifier (heavy shimmer), wheat penny has a nice finish, and i think you would like luxe and soiree. You can also layer your shadows over mahogany cream liner as a base to give them some oomph (fire comes to mind). There's also a LE color called Lucky- i listed my spare on the swap board though i haven't relisted it in quite awhile.

Thank you for your help! You suggestions helped me pick a few shadows to try out :) I tried Brown Sugar, but it was the same tone as my skin so the color didn't really bring out my eyes. So I was looking for a color that's a little less brown and a little more golden/copper. Orbit, Meteor and Luxe are definitely going on my list. And thank you for suggesting the Mahagony cream liner Xarata. Do you have this liner? Is it more copper in color or brown with copper shimmer? And what color is Lucky?

lucky is pretty straightforward copper shimmer like a penny. From what i remember of mahogany, it's mostly dark brown but should make a good base for sticking copper colors to. i can't wear them as liners(i'm allergic to soy) and never repurchased as a base after i gave mine away.

Definitely Luxe. Legend and Fete! I am still hoping that Vogue/Orbit/Meteor/Solar will be made into a quad. ;)

I also love gold/copper colors. My fave is Vogue right now. Legend is more on the orange side of copper than on the gold side IMO, though it is beautiful. Fete is kind of a pinky copper, but it's very cute and is actually one of my most-favorites (though my skin is more cool yellow than olive). I haven't tried Wheat Penny, but that might be an option.

Based on your description of what you're looking for, I think Vogue, and if you want something with a little more drama, go with Legend -- I bet it'd be cute on you.
