Stranded on an Island...what colors would you bring?

Post by karen » Thu Jun 26, 2008 2:17 am

So let's say you were going to be stranded on a deserted island, and you could only have one blush, 2 eye shadows, a lippie, and just for fun an unlimited supply of your favorite candy (and calories don't count). What colors would you bring?

For me, after much deliberation, I picked Wink Wink, Nudge Nudge, Babydoll, and Sweetheart (although I would try to smuggle a few others like Pout or Gold Blush)- and peanut butter cups.

I'm posing this question because I'm thinking that some kits would be fun, but I'm having a heck of a time picking colors.

I would pick the climax blush and the Berry crush gloss... As for eye colors... no way I could choose only two.
I'm not that much into candy... but very dark organic chocolate is always nice ;)

The kits are a lovely idea. Are you planning on adding candy to them, too? :P
Seriously, it would be lovely, and a great gift idea too. My mother loves my lipglosses and I was thinking of putting together a small SN gift package for her some time. :)

Babydoll & Lovelace cannot be separated!!! I cannot choose between them; it would be like having a favorite kid! ;) They are *both* coming with me even if I have to glue the jars together so they count as one!

HighBeam & Dolce are reached for a few times a week ~ good all-around look ~ so I will be bringing them...& sneaking in Brimstone,ROFL! Of *course* Truffle for my sparse brows...that *has to* be allowed w/o counting as a color.

Berry Crush & Breathless will cover any lippie situation for me.

What do you *mean* I'm breaking the rules? We can make up the rules as we go along! :D

Ouch ouch ouch - I'm diabetic, do I get extra colours in lieu of sweets?

Berry Crush and Infatuation (I'll sneak in Razzle Dazzle, Damsel, Hot-Blooded, and Pout), must have Carnal, Forbidden, and Babydoll (hey - a girl NEEDS a pink blush, a plum blush, and a red blush!), and of course Beach Bunny (we can have a bronzer, right? :) ), and for eye shadows, need Taupetastic and Whisper - and Dolce and Bling - and Pixie and Vanilla, and - all the morphing shadows of course (they count as one), and - Mahogany - gotta have a liner! - and - Date Bait - I mean really. I can get by without foundation, but...

I'll stop now. But I'd probably design the kits along pink/red/plum/au naturale lines.

For me it would definitely depend on the season. I could probably come up with more, too.

Quite alot lately, I have been wearing some form of the Berry Pallette. So Berry Nice, Tart or Tart Light, Slate, and Vanilla (If I can take one, I'd rather have this than Bone). I still need Wink Wink to fill it out.

An easy/neutral go to- Birthday Suit, Jamie, Aztec, Vanilla

For Fall- Jaybird, Sandstone, Dolce or Mink, and Vixen

For Winter- Seedy, Carnal, Wink Wink, Nudge Nudge

For Summer- Berry Crush, Poppy, Cabana, Highbeam (this combo would be great with a nice tan!!!

For Spring- Foreplay, Lovelace, Sizzle, Nekkid

I did not plan for liners, because I too would smuggle something for that. Also, my candy---I would want some dark chocolate and some chewy sweet tarts (definitely not to eat at the same time!)

Blush would be Flirt ( although I might have to smuggle in Lovelace)
Lippie would be Skinny Dip
Eye shadow would be Fire and Brimstone
Candy any form of good dark chocolate , and I need to take my Diet Coke with me also.

Uhh...am I the *only* person who can't wear Lovelace cos it looks way too warm on me? It doesn't turn orange or anything, and in itself it's a nice colour, it just looks wrong on me.

That's a shame, Rhys! So as not to waste your sample, how about blending it w/something *very* cool like Tart Light. Seems it would throw more pinky-cool tones into it & might make it useable,no? Since we're trying to stay OUT of our ruts today, might be fun to try!

lol this is an outstanding question.

Though I haven't tried all the colors, I will do my best to answer your question in a general sort of way in order to assist you with assembling kits.

If I could only have TWO shadows, I would want: Disco and something in a warm taupey brown with shimmer.
If I could only have ONE blush, I would choose something very light and soft that could double as a highlighting eye pigment. I've only tried Heavenly, which I like, but something that would be not-too-pink and also not-too-peach, something in the middle.
If I could only have ONE lippie, I would choose a neutral-to-pinkish color, perhaps Foreplay would be a good choice for a kit?

And I like peanut butter cups because that seems like a good protein source on an island if you ran out of other food. Or a box of Godiva. Or a caramel apple. Mmmm caramel apples... that would be a good choice. Okay no, I'm sticking with you on the peanut butter cups. Final answer.

I would also bring a tarp, as many clothes as I could carry, one of those fire-starting bows, and a good sharp knife, and an axe. And a gun. With lots of ammo.
