I'm new here. I'm wonder if anyone has any recipes for recommendation if I'm currently using Lumiere light medium golden in Cashmere formula. I was wondering if anyone has a comparison of the coverage of all 3 to those of EDM or Lumiere. I wonder how heavy the coverage is. I've tried this when SN 1st started. But somehow, the color always appears too yellow for me. So I was thinking if I need the olive base instead.. Help pls~~

Thanks!
I am not familiar with Lumiere, and I am not sure where the Cashmere formula would fit into our range of coverage. I probably could help you better if you could post or pm me a pic. Also, do you remember if you tried Buttery Gold or Warm Gold?

I got my foundation sample kit and I am wondering how you all get your colors to mix? I ended up with dark color streaks on my face :(

I have had a similar problem and I have been shaking my jar for almost 10 minutes...
It is not terrible but every now and then I get a streak on my face and it is quite disturbing.
What to do about it?

I mix mine in a baggie instead. I get an even result if I mush the pigments together with my fingers.

When I'm mixing I give the foundation a quick stir with the handle of the scoop just to get it started before I shake it, and I've never had any issues with the foundation being uneven.

Also, my mix is 1 scoop ebony to 10 scoops ivory (I use both heavy and medium coverage and that formula works for both), I don't add anything else to it, I prefer to layer on other powders as I need them rather than mixing them in. I also wear Cool-Fair in EDM, if that helps anyone.

I have pretty dry skin and I really want to love silk naturals but it seems to look amazing for about 20 minutes then all of a sudden I'm an oil slick, and when I blot and apply more finishing powder to absorb the oil, I get dry patches and it gets back to oily. :( Would a primer help? Or are minerals not for me? EDM did the same thing to my face which is why I switched... I LOVE every single other silk naturals product I've gotten though.
I'm about 5:16 dark to light (i mixed buttery and warm gold and a little touch of deep ebony but when I need to remix I'll just go with warm gold I think)

Since your skin is dry, it makes sense to make sure it is hydrated ehough. The oil might be your skin's way of trying to keep what moisture you have in your skin. Drink water, and consider using a mist or serum....something water based to add hydration to the skin. Pore Refining Toner is good, and the simpler serums.

Oh my goodness!! Jen!! I used two pumps of moisturizer instead of my usual one this morning and my makeup lasted all day, even through a crying session! No dry patches, no oiliness, with just a little fading on my reddest spots.

I couldn't believe the difference, it looked exactly how I hoped it could look. Thank you! I had no idea that my problem could be in not moisturizing enough.
