Itching from SN foundation?

I was ecstatic today when I mixed up my perfect match in SN foundation - 6 Medium Ivory:1 warm gold: 1 buttery gold. However, after a few hours I have itching around my nose and on my chin and now I think I'm having a reaction to the foundation. I know it is not the silk - I've been using SN's 100% silk powder for months and used EDM's when they had it. I previously have been using EDM foundation but would rather not keep buying from them. I'm guessing since EDM doesn't have the boron nitride, magnesium stearate or silica in the foundations I used from them it's one of those. Any ideas or has anyone else had this kind of reaction? No bumps or rash yet, just itchy!

It could very well be one of the ingredients you have not used before that is causing the reaction. Any foundation is not compatible with everyone and why we offer and recommend samples first. I recommend you stop using it unless one of the possibilites below fits.

Other possibilites, just so you have everything else ruled out....not that these are the problem:
skin tends to be drier in the winter- are you in a dry climate right now? Most likely silica is the problem in this case and you might be able to use the foundation in more humid seasons.
brushes- I hate to even bring this one up. Are your brushes gentle and fairly clean? I need reminded about this one, too. I get lazy about cleaning my brushes and I even have a 'B' and 'C' team of them.
Have you started any other new products- cosmetic or skincare recently?

I wish I could be more help. I know how frustrating it is when you have a good match, but the formula does not agree with you.

I sometimes get itchy from the foundation when my skin is dry. I don't know if that's why you are itchy, but generally if I moisturize beforehand and then mist with water once applied, my skin likes the foundation better. I have really sensitive skin but I'm not allergic to the foundation - just really sensitive to dryness.

I can get itchy from silica when my skin is dry and also when I sweat. Sometimes my face turns red (around my nose and chin) and stings for a second and then is fine. I have never these problem w/ Silk Natural, but w/ a dept. store brand that contained silica.

I had a tiny bit of itch around my nose and chin the very first time I used it too. But it went away after a while and never came back~. Maybe My skin was just getting used to the foundation.

How much of foundation are you using? Some people might have a lower tolerance for zinx oxide. Applying too much product might also be the cause......Normally I use about 2-3 SN scoops of foundation for my whole face for a very good coverage since I'm using the Medium Coverage base.

I get itchy from my foundation when I sweat. I have tried other mineral makeup brands that made me itch the whole day though, and SN is comfortable on my skin (the version with silk, haven't tried the vegan formula yet). It probably better for my skin to workout with a clean face anyway As others have said, I think it was the silica in other formulas that really irritated me.
