Dupe for EDM's PMUP

Post by AnneShirley » Fri Dec 18, 2009 6:19 pm

I already requested this under the refugee wish thread, but I think PMUP needs it's own thread. I love love love this pink concealor/corrector. It's such a multi-purpose product. It's a light pink powder but does not show up pink if used with a careful hand. I use it to help cover up undereye circles, red spots from old/new blemishes and all over my face to even out the ruddiness/red of my face. It does all this without leaving a weird cast of color that you can get sometimes from using other color correctors (eg. lavendar or green). I currenlty have only a sample jar (never got around to getting the FS :( ), but don't know what I'd do once I'm out. With all the new reformulations over at EDM, I don't want to chance my skin (which is actually behaving really well) to a possible bad allergic reaction like some of the girls have had. This is such an amazing product. Can anyone else out there give up some love for PMUP? I know I can't be the only one. SN currenlty doesn't have a product like this, so wouldn't it be great if Karen would make something similar? I know she can't promise, but if she would try, I'd be over the moon and eternally grateful. I'd be willing to send Karen the rest of my sample jar and go without if that meant that we could have it in the future? Pretty please Karen?? :?:

I too loved PMUP from EDM. I'm a cool skinned girl and it really helped to even out my skintone. Right now, I'm using date bait in it's place and it does seem close, but not exactly the same. I would love a dupe of PMIP.

I love it too, but am hoping for a version that doesn't emphasis the pores and showcase fine lines that aren't visible at all until I put it on. I've never understood that, but without PMUP I have no lines. With it, I have crepiness under my eyes and on my lids. Yeah, you could say don't put it there, but I put everything, everywhere.

I loved it to, minus the creepy lines Christine mentions.

It's the perfect magic wand product.

Have you guys tried Date Bait yet? It makes a great sub in my opinion,. and it's more pink that you would think. It's described as being a suitable perfecting powder for medium tones, but I'm pretty light (EDM's Fairly Light, and here I'm 15 ivory/1 warm gold/1 ebony) and it works perfectly all-over without adding any additional color to my complexion. But I do qualify by saying that I apply it was a foptic brush, so if you have a heavy hand, maybe it would be too much.

Does it do everything for you that PMUP did? Does it even out your skin tone? I use a foptic brush to apply PMUP so I'm definitely going to order a sample of Date Bait next time. Thanks.

I do actually like it a lot. It does seem to even out/brighten my complexion without all that nastiness that PMUP brought about. As in, I don't look like I have even drier, flakier skin than I already do, and it doesn't bring out crepiness around my eyes that are invisible when I don't wear PMUP. Also, PMUP used to cause my eye shadow to crease (because anything that goes on my face prior to eye colors, including color correctors, base, primer, and finisher, goes everywhere, including my lids) but Date Bait doesn't. It's an all-around comparable, but better, product, at least for me.

Date Bait is something magical. I agree, it doesn't make me look cakey or dry either, which I expected because it seems like I can't wear any powder anymore. After I put on a liquid foundation (sorry just haven't gotten myself to try powder again) I put Date Bait over and it finishes the look. Kinda like a Blur, I guess. I never had PMUP though.
