Luckily yellow and blue make green too! How are you with ultramarines? I'm thinking it wouldn't be difficult to make a blue color corrector, and I think we can get something that will work for you.
WOW--when I was wearing EDM, everything they had with COG made me break out...but here Karen says it is in the warm gold which is what I use and I am not breaking out at all...very interesting to know. Maybe I could try SN green concealer for those blemishes without problems?!? What do you think!?!
Re: Need Foundation Help? Please post here.......
Um- be very very very careful if you decide to try it. By the time you make Warm Gold into foundation there isn't a whole lot of COG in it (more than ebony, but still- it's mostly brown and yellow)- the green booster, and Unblush have more concentrated doses of it. I find that with allergy stuff it's better to err on the side of caution because even if you have only a slight reaction in the beginning it can build-up over time to a point where it's very ugly and painful.

I wanted to try the glow foundation base, but just a little. I don't want to be too shiny...How do I do it? If I add a scoop of Glow do I just subtract a scoop of Ivory?
Thanks!
Susan
Thanks!
Susan

feyith- The different formulas will be within a few scoops of each other. I would start at 1:15 for any formula white and add more white from there.....
lwoodall/Susan----just sub a few of your regular white scoops for glow..... I am not sure I would start with more than two.

awesome! Thanks Jen. Yeah, I kind of figured less is more. I had one foundation from another company that did the glo foundation, but I looked like tin man, so I mixed with a regualr foundation to tone it down. I just want a subtle glow...

Hi,
I would like to ask you for help with foundation color, I cant find my match whatever brand I try. I have discoloration, my neck is lighter than my chest and my face. I am very red on my face, because last 2 years my skin changed very very badly. I have a lot of acne scars which are red, and a lot of redness on my face but my undertone is not pink. I think I am somethink between brown yellow a little bit od peach maybe? Its difficult for me to find right color. Here are some of my photos before my skin changed. I have makeup on but maybe color of skin on my arm and chest will help?
I have no makeup on here...

LOL I have a lot of pics with closed eyes..

Thanks a lot! I cant wait to try Silk Naturals foundation
I am sorry for my english
Have a nice day everyone!

Hi Lillou-
I think you should try our Olive foundation. It will not add to the redness you are experiencing like other colors might, and I think it will match very well. I would try it at a mix of 1 scoop color base to 12 scoops of White.
By the way...your English is great! I have no problems understanding you. Let me know if you have more questions.

Re: Need Foundation Help? Please post here.......
Thankyou Karen and Jen for your help. I don't know how my skin will react to ultramarines. Last night I heavily swatched Pick Me Up Bisque (ultramarines CI 77007) and Lavender (ultramarines CI 77007) and so far there has been no reaction but I'm going to repeat this the next few nights to make sure. I think a blue color corrector is an excellent idea! On the old EDM forum there was a thread about COG being the cause of various skin reactions and a lot of members had an aha! moment when they realized what the culprit was. A blue color corrector mixed with a yellow color corrector would be a nice alternative for those who can't use COG's. A matte light-blue eyeshadow might work too, or be tweaked a little to be more suitable for the face.karen wrote:I use chromium oxide on kind of an "as needed" basis so we list it as a may contain. I'm pretty sure I'm mostly a yellow olive so I won't need a lot of COG in my mix. It's tempting but part of me doesn't even want to risk it because increased exposure can make allergies worse and cystic acne could become the least of my problems. I am half Navajo and part Eastern Shawnee, French and Irish so my skin gets a slightly reddish bronze cast when I get a summer tan. I rarely if ever get a sunburn and still tan even if i wear a medium spf sunscreen. My pictures don't show much of a tan because i was more vigilant about avoiding the sun and wearing a hat when I was outside gardening this summer.
