Eyeshadow primer

Post by Babydoll » Tue Dec 15, 2009 3:33 pm

Ok---so I used the primer today and I used a very small amount on each eye. I then let it dry and put on my e/s. Well it is 5 hours later and I just looked in the mirror and it has creased an the center lid shadow is gone. Did I put it on wrong? Please help!!

You need a small amount of this. Really small amount....basically I just take my finger and press in the pot. I then press into the crease of both eyes.

When I first got this I used too much. I have very oily eyelids. The other thing that helps is to change eye cream if you use a CREAM. I changed to Clarins spf 30. (I like to use products with sunscreen.) This is quite matt on the lids. Small change but it helped.

Well don't let it dry before putting on the shadow, the tackiness is what helps the shadow stick. If you need to, use a mattifying product on your lid first.

I don't let it dry either, I just go straight for the shadow. It blends more easily that way too.
I have had it crease once or twice, at the time I was putting holy crow eye cream on my lid, as I get kind of dry lids sometimes (not lately though), so I stopped applying holy crow to the lid, and just did under the eye and now it is fine.

Oh, one time I didn't apply the shadow right away (I got distracted in the middle of doing my makeup) and the primer itself had creased by the time I got back to it (maybe 20 mins later) so I think you should definitely try applying your shadow immediately after your primer. Quicker too ;)

Thanks ladies...I will give it a go tomorrow and see if putting the shadow on right away makes a difference! I will let you know how it goes!
