2 Perfecting Powder/0.5 Buttery Gold/1 Ebony/10 Ivory

Still mixing... tried a full face with the 9 Ivory and it was still a touch too dark.

You will get it.....Buttery Gold is darker than Ebony, so it takes a little more ivory to thin it.

Yeah I figured as much, half a scoop sure made a bi\g difference lol! Trying 11 Ivory as we speak, it looks good on my face but when I swatch it on my neck it looks dark, oh well. I have to get ready for work so we'll see.

I only bought the Ebony colour base because I couldn't imagine anything else would work but it somehow manages to look both orange/brown and grey/ashy at the same time on me. I'll probably be able to use it somehow by mixing it with other samples that don't work but it would have been nice to actually test your foundation formula.
I ordered a sample of all of the pink tinted perfecting powders and glows. One of the gals on Chanty's was suggesting mixing a finishing powder in to make it look/feel smoother anyway, so I am hoping that either Cherub, Crystal or Date Bait will be what I'm looking for. Thanks for planting the idea in my brain, Jen. :)

As a side question: BE and EDM's peaches tended to go orange on me. Should I avoid any of the SN bases for color mixing, like WG?

Good news on the pink booster. I'll set aside my SN samples and check back some time. Let me know if you need a tester before going to market. :)

mbt-

Does Olive Light Martian have much yellow in it? Our Olive has very little yellow and is only slightly green. In looking at your pic, I am thinking Olive at about 1 scoop color to about 12 White. I think Warm Gold will be too peachy, and Buttery Gold will be too yellow.

Pink Booster is in the works. As soon as we saw a need for it, Karen started working on it.
I find Peach is actually more cool toned than Ebony. Pure Peach works out to be the same shade as Cool Fair in EDM. But I guess, a true pink colour corrector would be nice too.

Thanks, that's interesting! I wouldn't have thought to look at that because it sounds warm and it's so dark. I'll reiterate my earlier request for swatches of the bases diluted with Ivory.

Do you know how much Ivory you had to add to get it to the level of EDM Cool Fair? My first SN purchase last Winter was actually to get just Ivory foundation to lighten EDM Cool Fair so the undertone on that wasn't bad. I think the Peach is a lot darker than the Ebony and it seemed I needed Ebony at around 15:1 or so in the medium coverage. The ratio calculations could get pretty complicated for me if I need to do half scoops or combine base shades. There's a lot of opportunity for measurement error with that many scoops too.
