Color pallets on the skin anyone?

Post by gaogirl » Wed May 28, 2008 10:49 am

Hi there, I just wanted to ask if anyone on this forum can do a color pallet on their arm with all the lip gloss and lip colors that they may have? I seem to find that this is very helpful to me in finding the right colors for my lips. The online picture although very close may tend to look a bit different on some. I already have Xoxo and Swept Away and love them very much. I'm so amazed that some of you have like the whole "everything" kit even all the lippies it seems. That really thrills and amazes me. :) I plan to get there soon enough. Thanks!

Hi Gaogirl

If your new welcome to the addiction (and forum).

I believe some SN fanatics have already posted pictures of the lippies and eye shadows swatches. If you go to http://www.vox.com and type Silk naturals in the search box, you should get some results of quite a few swatches.

Yes I know what you mean about the size of everyone collection. I have around 25 lippies, 45+ eye shadows and I only started to use make up 9 months ago now. That because as far as I’m concerned, SN have fantastic products and Karen’s philosophy of her company is amazing.

But of course there is a down side to everything - I'm now addict to SN and stalk the website everyday (one of many - you know who you are). Maybe Karen should have a warning sign on her website like - Warning buying SN products can cause addiction and bank balance problems. Please consult your doctor if symptoms persist.

Happy buying & stalking Gaogirl

I've thought about it- but the way that I look at it is this- every woman needs entertainment and a little bit of luxury every once in a while. If you think about the price of something like an eye shadow vs. the number of hours of entertainment you get from wearing it- it's the cheaper than renting a video, or even driving to the library to check out a book.

Granted every once in a while we get an order that makes me raise an eyebrow- but we all have hobbies, and like to collect the different things. I don't even want to think about how many knitting needles I own, or the amount of sock yarn I absolutely can't live without in my stash. I swear they'll come in handy some day.

Don't worry though- I do have a psychology degree. I've checked people into rehab before, and will do it again if I have to!

So glad to see more people joining us!

Sarah, you are a hoot!::Warning! Warning! These may be habit forming!::

Guilty as charged of "collecting" minerals *but* it's a harmless addiction! Doesn't hurt anybody, I do share, & I *use* what I buy! A little package in the mail can perk up a mighty dismal day. *Most* importantly, if we are not good to *ourselves*, we'll be no good for/to others!

Oh good I was getting worried that my male doctor wouldn't understand my addiction. Just make sure karen thats its a room with a view and I have internet access to buy um ....................... flowers.

The only problem I have now is that I trying to pass my addction on to others  In the last month I have brought three foundation samples for friends of mine. And everytime I have coffee with my friend carole I rave about SN (as well as anyone else who will listen, colleagues, superviser, potted plant on my desk, the male custodians who deliver the post and of course the water cooler guy).

"Warning, Warning their maybe a habtit forming" sounds like that would make a good country and western song advertising SN products love it mikie lol But your both right, we've all got are habbits and collectables. I'm just glad that mine make me look like the goddess that I feel like on the inside (swear I'm being modest).

Yes I get excited by my little package (or not so little) that appears after a long hard days work. Puts a smile on my face

Love the new pic mikie and the top.
