Hello
I'm introducing my sister to the pretty eye-shadow colours of Silk Naturals and after trying mine she's very interested in getting some of the Eye Shadow Primer. I can't seem to find it on the site currently. Does anyone know if it's a temp out of stock or if it was limited edition and I just didn't realise?
I was hoping to make it a part of her christmas pressie LOL, just as well I took a peek now instead of leaving my shopping to the last moment as I've done in previous years!
Thanks for any info

I asked this question on another thread and JenW indicated it must be currently out of stock. It is an item they get from another supplier so it takes a little longer to re-stock.

The Eye Shadow Primer is now back in stock, which forced me to place yet another order.

Somebody please stop me.

I'm so curious, why does SN not have an 'out of stock' note for their products?

Well, things have been a little busier than usual lately with so many new folks and the big Christmas collection released. It's possible that it was just an oversight.

I just have to ask.
When you use a primer such as the SN eye primer... what else do you use on your lids? Nothing? Do you apply foundation on the lids? Finishing powder? In which order?
Until now I have used a mmu concealer and/or mmu foundation all over my face, lids also, before applying eye shadows. To make the shadows show up better I almost always foil them using only water to dampen my brush. Occasionally I apply a very light dusting of finishing powder/veil afterwards just to make sure that it stays put. It usually does, but not always; my lids tend to get quite oily even though the rest of my skin is very dry, so e/s tends to crease like mad. Foiling seems to help a bit with this. It also helps a lot to make the colors as vibrant and shimmery as possible, which is how I like them

I'm thinking that by using a primer I won't have to foil the shadows, is that right?

I just put a light dusting of foundation on my lids (just a swipe or so), then the SN primer (I apply it with a concealer brush, then blend with my finger, it is less messy that way) over the whole lid, then eyeshadow. I am pretty fair though, and the SN primer is pretty light, so you might want to apply it differently if you have more tan skin, as it basically makes your eyelid look pretty white. (which is fine for me, as I would apply a white highlighter up on the brow bone anyway).
HTH,
Lily
P.S. I love the eye primer! I have basically stopped foiling at all since I started using it every day
