The Perfecting Powder really is wonderful, especially since it has rendered so many things in my make-up drawer useless. No more 30 jars or so to finish a face. This, foundation, rouge and concealer is all I really need now. Before, I had a powder for primer, a powder to correct redness, foundation, concealer, a powder to correct pinkness of the concealer and a finishing dust. A lot of jars!
My skin seems to be doing a lot better since I switched brands too. I'm also very, very breakout prone. With SN (and admittedly having found my perfect skincare routine) I'm actually having skin that I can envision going outdoors with just as it is.
I received my first order, thanks SN!!!!!!!

I KNOW!! I'm finding this all very hard to believe myselfChristineLynnP wrote:*peers at you suspiciously* You, liking ANYTHING more than NR? I am shocked. Are you the Eliz1 I know????eliz1 wrote:I switched over here from EDM and I have found something I like equally as well, IF NOT MORE!!!!, than Natural Reflections!!!! I got my SN order yesterday and have fallen in LOVE with the Perfecting Powder, Splendid Perfecting Glow and the Tinted Perfecting Powder Tempt Tryst!!!! I haven't tried mixing the foundation yet so I applied them over my EDM foundation and it gives it such a natural and subtle finish -- a nice dewey look which is hard to pull off when you have oily skin like I do! I ran out of face room to try the Dait Bait but love it's subtleness on my hand. SN also sent me for free a little baggie of Gargle Blaster eye color which appears to be a pretty, sparkly greyish/greenish color and I wrote in 2 different eye shadows with a note saying I wasn't sure if I was supposed to pick one or 2 and they sent a nice note saying they included both -- thank you SN!! I got Boom and Cashmere which I love as well. I never had much luck with EDM eyeshadows so I'm especially pleased!!!
I can tell I'm going to like the Sleep in a Jar but I ordered the Extra Light Peach and I should have ordered the darker one.
I hope my foundation mixing goes well -- I have to admit, I'm a bit intimidated by the process! But anyway, so far so good and I love the finish the Perfecting Powders give!!!!! I did myself a disservice by sticking with only one company and not trying over here long ago!! so
I have very acne prone skin so I'm SO hoping this doesn't break me out. So far so good! I will DEFINITELY be ordering again!!!

The only thing I've noticed is I seem to dry out a bit with the foundation so I'm thinking it might be the silk? Not really sure so I've added the vegan kind to my cart too to see if that helps matters. But it's not drying out to to the point where I wouldn't use it, I just need to maybe moisturize a bit more (hopefully with the new Hemp stuff).

I asked Jenn about whether the vegan was less drying than the silk formula, and she said she actually thought it would be more drying. Silk is actually really good at regulating skin. I may not be explaining it right, but basically, if you have dry skin, silk works to retain moisture, whereas if you have oily skin, it helps control the excess moisture. Jenn mentioned it might be the silica that was drying me out. Her suggestion, which is working fantastically for me so far, is to mix the heavy coverage foundation with the untinted zinc powder. That way, I'd be getting less of the silica, but about the same level of coverage as the medium foundation which I like. Maybe throw in a sample of the zinc powder if you don't already have it, just to see if that's better?

Hey! Thanks for the info. I normally have really oily skin but for some reason I am getting really dried out. Maybe like you said about the silk and maybe it's regulating me TOO much!LOL! That's great advice about the heavy formula mixed with zinc, I'll add both those to my cart -- I would never have thought to do that.EtherealJane wrote:I asked Jenn about whether the vegan was less drying than the silk formula, and she said she actually thought it would be more drying.
