Spangle

Post by Rhys » Sun Nov 29, 2009 4:08 am

Am I the only pale, cool-toned person this is absolutely PERFECT on? I've been using it as a one-colour wash and I absolutely love it!

Would love to see it in the permanent collection.

Hmm, Not sure if I am cool toned or not (useing warm gold and olive mix) but this doenst look fantastic on me. For one thing it is much too light. I have been using it as a wash on my lid only, if I go above my crease then it turns the skin to red/pink and I look like I am having an allergy reaction.
the colour itself is really nice, and as a wash it is great. I have been using it under my other plum colours like Vineyard, 9:59, even Idolize, and it looks nice for the inside of my eye. and really combines will with these colours!
I would prefer the 9:59 to be added!! I am loving this colour!!! :)

You're more olive, I think, la_canadiense, and way darker than me. I put a couple of scoops of ebony in with a teaspoon of ivory for foundation - and Spangle is one of the few 'light' eye colours that's actually light enough for me to use as a wash. I can see how it might not work if you're warm-toned. I have a similar problem with Nekkid, which most people can wear, but it makes me look like I'm coming down with an eye infection - not attractive!

ya, i have that same thing with too warm of colours. I can wear Purr but again, only up to the crease, if I go over the crease the eyebrow bone goes red and makes me looks like I've been crying!! I was initially really worried to try it (got it as my freebie with my over $30, but they picked it for me....), but thankfully I can pull it off as a wash on the lid only...I need a really neutral or even cool colour for the brow bone (even BE's Nude Beach would turn my brow bone a funny reddish colour).
But I agree that Spangle is a really nice colour, it is really bright and I can see it would open the eye up as a wash. So I agree that it would be a really nice addition to the permanent collection! and also 9:59....

Swatches please!

I am pretty pale, so I can't wear anything except white or very light cream as a highlight, otherwise it is darker than my actual skin, lol. I also can't wear anything too pink on the inner corner of my eye, or I look like I have pinkeye

The thing I hate about the gifts with purchase is that by the time you hear the buzz it's too late :( I think 9.59 would have been awesome for me, but it is gone now :(

Totally hoping that Karen goes ahead with the gwp club, where you get them all!

I agree lilychemgirl. It's hard for us internationals to order regularly to get the GWP, and by the time we hear about them and how great they are, it's too late :( Can't wait for the GWP club - is it coming anytime soon Karen? ;)
