What about a shaving creme?

Karen have you thought of a shaving creme? Maybe a girls and guys formula. Something moisturizing (I can't believe how dry my legs get in the winter  ) that smells good!

I remember using that lavender shaving soap gumball from a while back, and liking it. Foams up nicely and smells good. Great for travel too in small bits. Perhaps bring that back or something along that line?

Liking that idea. Anything lightweight / concentrate for economical overseas shipping would help. Love the idea of something fluffing up with a 'cushiony' foam / lather. I'm already wafting through french lavender fields at the thought of the new lotion, so that scent would carry into a shaving product elegantly. Lavender is so neutral and inoffensive - we can buy this for the boys and steal it for ourselves.

I'd would vote for a shaving gel. I have absolutely no idea if that is a reasonable request. Creams don't seem to give enough slip/protection when I shave my legs. Moisturizing & possibly something to slow down/inhibit hair growth?? I'm currently using Aveeno's Positively Smooth Gel. I still shave every day but either I'm aging & hair growth is slowing down or something is doing what it says it's supposed to do. I'd love a lavendar scented one!

I also like gel. I also use Aveeno.

I like lavender :)

If you're going to make a men's version you might want to consider fragrancing it with something else though. DH can't stand florals.

I would prefer a classical, unscented shaving soap, that can be used with a brush. I'm not sure how many of you ladies have tried shaving with a real brush and razor, but let me tell you that it really is another shave entirely. You get a much closer shave, and the shave lasts for longer. Plus, there's just something about working up your own lather in a mug. Soaps also are that much easier to travel with, and ship for less.

If you have troubles getting slip from your shaving cream or foam, try putting on some olive oil (or other reasonably fat oil) before shaving. It's basically the same as using one of those expensive shaving oils that comes in those ridiculously small bottles.
