Must have Matte Eye Shadows

Post by Silverfern » Sat Nov 21, 2009 9:04 am

I just realized I have no matte SN eye shadows! So I need to fix that. Background: I'm a pale neutral girl who can pretty much wear cools and warms. At least I just do anyway :) Petal is currently my fav blush ever.

Here's what I'm thinking of getting so far (from searching for "matte" in the main site):
Bone - matte off white eye shadow
Caperberry - olive green matte Or should I get Moss?
Terra- MatteTaupe Eye Shadow- clone of BB Hotstone (I'm going for a lid color here, what do you think?)
next????

Silverfern - are you in Europe? I can send you an unopened jar of Lush. It's a matte mossy green. If you like Caperberry, you like this. PM me.

Bone - indispenable. Buttercup is pretty useful. It's darker than I thought it would be but it can be a handy concealer, base coat, etc.

Nope, I'm across the pond in the states, but thank you very much for the offer. I'm sure someone in Europe will take you up on it :)

Ok Bone and now Buttercup are going in the cart. Thanks!

Moss and Caperberry....probably don't need both. Get Moss if you want more green, Caperberry if you want more brown.

Terra will be a good lid color and excellent for eye contouring. It will also make a good natural looking liner.

From poking around the lighter shades I've realized I need Vanilla and Frenchie (not matte, I know, but I don't have any satiny ones either, I don't think). I really like light highlight colors all over my lid, so it's probably nuts but I'm going to get both, haha.

Thanks!

Fern and Eu-Taupe-Ia could also add some nice possibilities to that mix.

I'm sorry - I can't help it! :D

If you're still picking, I would suggest Dove. I just love that color, it's great as crease with Bone or even Vanilla.
If you would like a mauve/plum color too, Thistle or Lavender or even Dusty Mauve would be nice. Ya know, just to give those pretty neutrals run for their money ;) You can easily lighten any of the mattes with a bit of Ivory base if they are too dark for your pale skin - I did that with Thistle and now I have two shades!
