2. Where is that exactly? North of Toronto
3. Tell us about that state/area! Time to brag! I live across the street from the continent's largest indoor Asian mall, so we get a lot of bootlegged DVD's in the area. I'm sort of in the middle of everything... Up north there are decent places to eat, mostly dessert and bubbletea places. South would be Toronto, with all of its malls, and of course, downtown. Downtown Markham is currently under construction, it looks like it'll be awesome! Once a year, the road in front of the mall is blocked off for a "Taste of Asia" festival, with lots of food and performance. During this weekend, I get no sleep. The music blasts through my windows, and into the house. . I'm currently living in Waterloo for school, and it smells like poop.
4. What decade were you born? Early 90's
5. Tell us about a (perhaps completely useless) MAD skill you have! I can tell Coke from Pepsi, and 7Up from Sprite. I won large fries from McDonalds once for that skills. Chyeaaa!
6. How many languages do you speak? What are they? English mostly, and some Mandarin, though it's fading. I'd like to relearn it, but the course for the language is currently full at my university, so I'll be taking Japanese in the winter term instead. It's my only class on Fridays, at 8:30 in the morning... All the way across campus.
7. Do you like to travel? Where have you been? I love travelling, but my eating disorder restricts me a bit... I've been to some of the East coast of the US, Quebec, and Michigan. I'm going to Montreal this upcoming weekend, where the drinking age is 18. Party time! My family will sometimes head south of the border to shop when the Canadian dollar is high.
8. Do you eat breakfast? What do you usually have? I can't live without breakfast! Breakfast usually consists of either egg with toast, cereal, or an Eggo waffle.
9. What are your pet peeves? I hate it when people break out into other languages when they know someone in the room can't understand. My roommates do that a lot, and I'm the one out of the loop.
10. What are your hobbies? Napping between classes.

11. What got you into mineral makeup in the first place? BE. I wore it for two years before discovery I was allergic. By that point, just having it on made me itch, regardless of heat. And the brushes were just terrible. Last year, I dropped another $49 on a brush set from them -- I regret it, most of them are scratchy.
12. What do you do for a living? I'm a post-secondary student with no income, unless you count the online surveys which come to my inbox every once in a while. I've made $23 over the last few years. I'm studying to go into environmental economics.
13. How do you personally apply mineral foundation? Spot conceal first with an eye kabuki, then use a baby flat-top for all over application. I'll use a foptic if I'm traveling.
14. What are your favourite eye shadow colors? Silvers
15. What are your favourite lip colors? I don't usually wear lippies.
16. Are you bad at anything (you can totally say no....everyone knows most SN girls are perfect in every way)? I'm terribly clumsy, and I can't do sports at all. I was always last at track and field in elementary school. My singing resembles that of a drunken chipmunk. I'm also terrible with directions, and I tend to panic when I get lost. Also, I don't breathe very much when I drive.
17. Are you married? What's your favorite thing about your spouse? I'm single, and have been for the last year; never married. Still friends with my ex, he helps me a lot in math.
18. Do you have any kids/pets? None, though I'd love to get a pet, especially a cat. I'd be moving back home every 4-8 months when I'm not at school though, and my mom hates pets. She claims she's allergic.
19. How many makeup brushes are you using personally? About eight, on a regular basis; I'm getting three more on Wednesday hopefully. I really need an angled blush brush.
20. What's the strangest job you ever had? I've never been employed. I did do a bit of volunteering though... One time at a childrens festival working at an inflatable. I'm hoping to work at least part time this summer. After moving out for school, the thought of staying at home all day for four months seems too much to bear -- My mom tends to baby me quite a lot.

There is not only food from every part of the earth within 30 miles of here, but there are at least 5 of each, representing various regions. 7. Do you like to travel? Where have you been? I am pretty rooted now, but I have traveled a lot in my life. Hawaii is teh greatest place on earth. It is nirvana.

11. What got you into mineral makeup in the first place? As weird as it sounds, TFSI...I bought some, eye shadow started looking nice, I wanted more, then I figured I should cover up some redness on my face, couldn't find liquid pale enough.

14. What are your favourite eye shadow colors? Day time, I love neutral mattes. Off work and weekends, black liner, glitter, shimmer, color, craziness

3. Tell us about that state/area: Enola is a train town named after the founder's daughter, Hershey is home of the Hershey Chocolate factory and chocolate world- yes it smells like chocolate here.

5. Tell us about a (perhaps completely useless) MAD skill you have! I majored in fashion design and metalsmithing so i'm all kinds of artsy fartsy
6. How many languages do you speak? What are they? At one point I was fluent in 2, english and spanish- i haven't used the spanish in about 4 years but can still read and write it.
7. Do you like to travel? Where have you been? My mom is a travel agent so I started traveling when i was a kid. I've been to most of the continental US, canada, mexico, most of the caribbean, italy, greece, and croatia
8. Do you eat breakfast? What do you usually have? no not usually. I'm not really awake and functioning before noon.
9. What are your pet peeves? I tend to be OCD on the way things are organized (you've seen pics of my makeup stash)

11. What got you into mineral makeup in the first place? my skin is kind of sensitive and i knew very young that it just didn't make sense to put unnatural things onto my skin. I usually washed my face with water and a washcloth and almost never wore makeup.
12. What do you do for a living?I'm a waitress at a casino. I hate it but it pays well
13. How do you personally apply mineral foundation? I use a the "red sponge method" which is a fairly squishy latex sponge sprayed with hydrosol and dipped in minerals. I follow up with a flat top. If I'm having a good skin day or am feeling lazy, i just use the flattop
14. What are your favourite eye shadow colors? I love anything that looks as a one color wash because it's fast so I really love quartzite, nekkid, tawny, riddle, etc. I also love golds
15. What are your favourite lip colors? Anything with a peachy pink and gold theme to it. Gold blush, berry crush, precious. I also love divine (preferred over mirage which i also like) and super deep reds. My favorite SN red to date was platinum red.
16. Are you bad at anything (you can totally say no....everyone knows most SN girls are perfect in every way)? I'm very clumsy but otherwise good at everything
17. Are you married? What's your favorite thing about your spouse? I am married. Going on a whole 3rd month (dated for 5 years). I love that we have enough in common to be best friends but enough differences not to bore each other. My husband is also a bit of a giant and i really crack up when he tries to do cutesy things that people his size just aren't built to do.
18. Do you have any kids/pets?We have a 3yeard old dog named honey. We got her from a rescue shelter in college when she was 4lbs and 8 weeks old. She is my world. We were told she was half spitz and half cocker when we adopted her but i don't believe it. The newest vet's guess is half lab and half beagle. She looks like an island dog/dingo or basically like a bigger cuter orange version of a jack russell
19. How many makeup brushes are you using personally? the flattop, the ultimate eyeshadow brush, the fiber optic, fiber optic baby buki, and a lip brush. i have others but those are the ones i use most frequently
20. What's the strangest job you ever had? Sewing flags onto backgrounds. My husband however, has totally "detassled corn" as a summer job in the boonies.

2. Where is that exactly? its in los angeles county
3. Tell us about that state/area! i <3 hacienda heights, and i <3 to make fun of hacienda heights. its a nice area (an unincorporated area, not a real city), close to the city, but a small community. I love where I live because i have access to pretty much anything i need, since its in the same county as one of the biggest cities in the world Los Angeles. I'm also close to the OC where I went to college, and I can drive to vegas in under 4 hours. its great.

5. Tell us about a (perhaps completely useless) MAD skill you have! Well, I think very mechanically and I am very, very good with my hands, I can put something together with ease or develop patterns easily. I can see something and figure out how it was made, very good at problem solving.

7. Do you like to travel? Where have you been? I love to travel! Ive been to London (to check out some art schools), Paris a couple times, and Amsterdam. Oh, and Mexico and a couple of states in the East coast. Oh, and Alabama (i have cousins there haha)
8. Do you eat breakfast? What do you usually have? I am totally with "darkhairedgirl" here, I am an oatmeal girl, and looooove steel cut oats!!! I actually stopped using steel cut oats because of their preparation, I use Coach's Oats which is sold around here, they're oats that are processed to have a steel cut texture (a little crunch) but cook like regular oats <33333 I have them every morning mixed with a cut up banana, some sliced almonds, and a dash of honey or honey powder. With a cup of tea w/milk (Yorkshire or PG Tips).
9. What are your pet peeves? When my boss turns up the stereo in our part of the shop so she can hear it, but she's so far away its faint for her and blasting for us. So I guess, people who are inconsiderate/arrogant/selfish. Long nails.
10. What are your hobbies? I love to "research" online. Before I buy anything new, I will research reviews. Oh, and I also do mold making, pattern making, sewing, dabble at screen printing. I love to paint my nails and recently did my own glitter acrylics, it looked like glitter nail polish but better and with more depth. My nickname is christen "diy"
11. What got you into mineral makeup in the first place? Lancome's Ageless Minerale, I wanted to see what else there was.
12. What do you do for a living? I'm a production artist for a custom leather jewelry business. I make all our products from scratch, its cool because we make everything in house and don't outsource for a cheaper price. I love it, but I just started my own business and can't wait to work from home... its a long process.

For most, I was a costumed performer at children's birthday parties, I did games, balloon animals, face painting, and Ive been Tinkerbell, Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Dora (yuck), and a clown named Smiley.

2. Where is that exactly? Silicon Valley, right smack dab in the middle of techieville Yes, I'm a geek too! It's right outside of San Francisco.
3. Tell us about that state/area! Time to brag! Let's see I can get to the city when I want to have fun and get to the country side just as easy to relax. And the weather is the best! I definitely do not miss the Jersey winters.
4. What decade were you born? Early 80's.
5. Tell us about a (perhaps completely useless) MAD skill you have! I've picked up a bunch of new skills over the summer like learning how to drive a manual car (woohoo!) and learning to sew. I've made PJ's, certains for the house and a little camera case.

7. Do you like to travel? Where have you been? Everywhere imaginable in the US and India. Hope to travel to Greece, Egypt and Africa within the next few years.

1. Where are you from? Born in Gainesville, FL (go Gators!) and now live near Wilmington, NC (but in the boonies).
2. Where is that exactly? 10 minutes from the beach, and in the middle of nowhere. I have to drive at least 10-15 minutes to get to a Walmart
3. Tell us about that state/area! Time to brag! Most people would love to live here due to the beach. It's just ok for me--I'm so fair that I burn rather easily, and I hate getting sand in my swim suit.
4. What decade were you born? I'm a product of the 80s.
5. Tell us about a (perhaps completely useless) MAD skill you have! Due to a strange birth defect that makes me oddly flexible, I can put one leg behind my head and stand up on the other.
6. How many languages do you speak? What are they? I used to be able to read fluently in French, and understand fluent speakers. Since I haven't had it in years though, I have lost a lot.
7. Do you like to travel? Where have you been? I love to travel! I've been to England, France (twice--Paris, Nice, Cannes, and Toulouse) and Canada (Banff and Quebec). I haven't made it west of the Mississippi yet though.
8. Do you eat breakfast? What do you usually have? I try and do scrambled egg whites with a little bit of cheese on them. Yum!
9. What are your pet peeves? Little things--like when people don't clear the seconds off of the microwave so I can't tell what time it is. I like things to be rather neat and orderly.
10. What are your hobbies? I love to read, knit, and quilt. Right now I'm in grad school, so I don't have much time for any of that.

11. What got you into mineral makeup in the first place? While in college, I really got into environmentalism and trying to live in a sustainable way. I'm not perfect, but mineral makeup is so easy and fun!
12. What do you do for a living? I'm going to grad school full time to get my masters in education. I'm working as a graduate assistant 20 hours a week.
13. How do you personally apply mineral foundation? Dry, with a flat top brush. I do light layers and spray a hydrosol on my face in between to get rid of the powdery look.

I love that he's so honest (ladies, if you ever want an honest opinion about how anything looks, you can ask him). He can fix just about anything, and I love that he challenges me. Basically, I just love him, lol.
18. Do you have any kids/pets? Not yet, but the last time I mentioned a dog this summer, he said "maybe" instead of giving me the look that says "yeah right." I'm making progress!

Ok, now it's the old lady's turn.
1. Where are you from ? Born in Rocky Ford, raised in Ordway and now live in La Junta, Colorado.
2. Where exactly is that? They are all within 30 miles of each other in Southeast Colorado. the best reference is to find Pueblo on a Colorado map and then go 60 miles east. It is dry, flat melon country. Rocky Ford is the melon capitol of the world, most melons that are grown elsewhere were orginally developed in Rocky Ford.
3. tell us about that state/area! Time to brag! Most people would love to live in Colorado. If you are a skier or a winter sports fan we have the mountains, and of course Aspen , Streamboat and Vail ski resorts along with other less well known resorts. Plenty of mountains for hiking in the summer. All of the mountains are centrally located in the state, so 3-4 hours from the furtherest point and you are there. La Junta is home to Bent's Fort, which as a major trading post in the much earlier years of our nation, and we have dinosour tracks and petroglyphs on the wall and floor of Picketwire and Vogel Canyons.( 45 minutes from here). We also have the Koshare Indian Dancers which is a boy scout troop that is dedicated to maintaining our native american heritage .
4. What decade were you born? I'm at the end of the baby boomer generation. I was born in the mid 1950's.
5. Tell us about a (prehaps completely useless MAD skill you have! I can tell the difference between Diet Coke and regular Coke by looking at the glass. ( the diet coke is darker).
6. How many languages do you speak? What are they? English and a little French, and some Spanish. I can read and understand more Spanish than I speak, so usually am asking someone to translate the answer to the question, not the question it's self.
7. Do you like to travel? Where have you been? I love to travel, I have been to Florida, California, Georgia, Tennessee, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, Kansas, Iowa, Missiouri, Montana, Illinois, Texas, South Dakota, North Dakota, Wahington DC, Virginia , West Virginia , South Carolina, and Canada.
8. Do you eat breakfast? What do you usually have? Mostly coffee and creamer, sometimes oatmeal, lots of mornings either bean burritos, potato burritos, or egg burritos, ( the housekeeper at work sell them, homemade and yummy!)
9. What are your pet peeves? I'm a perfectionest, so lots of things annoy me.
10. What are you hobbies? I love to read, crochet, cook.
11. What got you into mineral makeup? My sensitve skin. It just doesn't like lots of things.
12.What do you do for a living? I am a RN, and work as a unit supervisor in a nursing home.
13. How do you personally apply mineral makeup?? Dry , using a large kabuki
14. What are your favorite eyeshadow colors? Greens and Purples, and most neutrals.
15.What are your favourite lip colors? Skinny Dip, Jay Bird, Hot blooded and Happiness.
16. Are you bad at anything ( youcan totally so no....everyone knows most SN girls are perfect in every way)? I am a terrible speller and housekeepr. I was in college when my kids were little and there were more imporatnt thengs to do than clean house, never broke the bad habit as they grew up.
17. Are you married? What 's your favorite thing about yur spouse? Yes, for the 2nd time, We have been married for 4 years. He is honest, and willing to stick up for something he believes is right.
18.Do you have and kids/ pets? I have 4 step children from my 2 marriages, ages 32-26 and 3 grandchildren I have 3 cats, and 3 dogs. the most recent being my 8 week old 2lb pompoo named Peaches.
19. How many makeup brushes are you using personally? Kabuki, Fiber Optic, Eyeshadow, Crease, liner and highlighting brush .
20. What is the strangest job yu have ever had? I don't know about strange, but the worest I have everhad was culling onions in a frozen food plant. Every thing I owned smelled like onions by the time the summer was over.
