Foundation oddity

So I have dark skin, and I have very yellow/gold undertones. I've been using buttery gold with medium but it was too light. Jen told me to add in some peach to darken it, and this worked well, but, the coverage wasnt that great bc I had so much color in it (its basically 1 ivory:1 buttery gold with maybe 1/2 scoop peach). Jen told me that peach is the darkest color we have, and for some reason, I've been thinking about this alot lately. Last night, I was thinking/dreaming about SN haha and came up with a new foundation mix..how about mix peach and ivory and add yellow color booster in! I tried this today and it works really well and offers more coverage because I can add more ivory (medium) to lighten up how dark the peach is!

Now, my question: why does this still match my skin!! I guess maybe my skin has some orangey/yellow undertones?? I'm an NC 45 for reference haha

I am glad you found something that would work. Great idea on the Peach/Yellow Booster combo. I have to admit I come up with some of my best ideas when I am settling in for the night, too. As far as where this post should go....I may add it to the foundation recipe thread after a bit.

my closest foundation match is peach with yellow color booster.
i recommend it if you are having difficulty with the warm or buttery gold looking too ashy. i wore the warm medium beige or golden light in EDM depending on how tan i was.
