A couple of years ago I was really in to Jan Marini's Skin Zyme products. I loved the way they made my skin feel and look but in the end I just didn't want all those parabens on my skin so I stopped using them.
Today while cleaning out my beauty cabinet I found an old jar of the Skin Zyme mask and I started missing is terrible. Looking at the ingredients it seems like a pretty simple product to make, and if I remember correctly JM charges $40-50 for 2 oz. The green papaya enzyme is so exfoliating it's crazy. Your skin looks 10 years younger in half an hour. The Night Zyme was really moisturizing and in the winter I used it as a day cream, it gave my skin a satiny almost dewy look. I remember loving the texture of these products, it was really thick and the smell was yummy, fruity and a bit oily if it makes sense. The Day Zyme was more of a gel than a cream, it had a lemony smell and was a great matifyer.
Here is a description I found and it really works like they say. Skin Zyme is a highly effective mask made from papaya enzymes. Jan Marini designed this product for supplemental home care exfoliation, with its ability to thoroughly digest dead epidermal cells without harming sensitive or irritated tissues. Benefits of other resurfacing agents are dramatically accelerated and desired results are more rapidly obtained with regard to skin rejuvenation, acne, hyperpigmentation and scar reduction.
Skin Zyme Mask Ingredients: Green Papaya Concentrate, Sunflower Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-20, Propylene Glycol, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben (and) Propylparaben, Cetyl Alcohol, Honey, Vitamin E Acetate, Fragrance, BHT

Would it be possible to make these in a more natural way? I'm not sure about all the ingredients but I like the essentials, green papaya, sunflower oil, aloe vera, safflower oil, honey and the vitamins. Maybe the could be even greater with other kinder replacements?
