Just a quick reply on the samples.....the blushes are 1/8 tsp. and the finishers are 1/4 tsp. Color foundation is 1/2 tsp., Ivory foundation is 1 tsp. Just to give you an idea.....a 30 gram jar will hold just over 1 tablespoon, a 5 gram just under 3/4 tsp. We try to keep our samples just that....samples.

So glad to hear that other sifters fit.....I have been doing the same thing, but with sifters I purchased on ebay. I will also see if I can convince Karen to add a sifter pack to the jars page. What do you think would be a good idea for the number to offer? 3? 5?

A full size blush...comes in a 10 gram jar. I have pictures floating around here of the jars somewhere.

Oxana....have you ever tried a swirly bowl? It really is the most hygenic for your minerals to keep the skin oils, etc. out, and prolong their use.

Again, welcome to all of our new members!

Jen, I've just been using a lid from another jar. The bowls would be a good idea, do you wash them after each use?

It depends....I try to wash them at least once a week, but usually more often. I have picked up what are called condiment bowls at the housewares department of Walmart/Target or the like. My favorite one is a small Japanese sauce bowl. Using a swirly bowl keeps all of the germs out of the jar, and then there is no way for the minerals get contaminated.

I am so excited to see so many familiar faces. I am going to place my first order soon but I can't quite make up my mind. It's so awesome how cheap the shipping is! My husband thinks I need to go for a big order right away but I kind of like getting smaller packages in the mail more often. How often do the specials change?

Idolize is nowhere near Hot Chocolate. ;)

We don't offer samples of eyeshadows and lippies for sale, but there is usually one or the other tucked in every order. If we did sell them, it would seriously slow down our order turnaround. Karen does offer a guarantee on them, though. And I know I need to get back to my swatching so you have a better idea of what the colors look like on.

We did do a sample sale for one week just over a year ago. We sold over 2000 eyeshadow samples and it about killed our staff. And that was with a few summer interns working in addition to the regular staff.

The GWP changes every week, I believe every Friday. Karen is working on either adding a date to the sample or naming them on the site. I would say if your order every Tuesday, you can be sure you get a different one, and most likely have it by the weekend ;)
