I just got my Centerfold in the mail today, and while it's not as light as I expected it to be, I do really like it. It just slightly deepens the color of my lips, and looks very natural and pretty. I am still looking for a color that will slightly lighten my lips, from some of the swatches I have seen Rhoda looks like what I am after. So maybe it will come back(does that happen?) or there will be something similar to it in the future.

The other 2 lipglosses I got (Precious and Berry Crush) are very pretty also. They look very similar on my lips, with Precious being more sheer. I love the golden sheen/shimmer they have.

What some of us with darker lips do to lighten the colors is swiping a layer of Sparkle on first. It does give sparkles (duh, hehe), but it also lightens the color that goes on top of it. I also just saw that someone else tried XXX as base layer, to make the sheerer colors show up as they would on lighter lips.

I have Rhonda, and although it's a unique color that I haven't seen replacement for on the SN site yet, it's not really for lip lightning, at least not on me. Just heads up :)

Yeah, Rhonda doesn't lighten my lips. It's a shimmery cool purple wash. Mirage does lighten my lips. I bet that XXX lipstick will work too but I haven't ordered it yet. And yeah Sparkle is a good suggestion. As we've established I am perhaps not a good standard of comparison. But that's my 2 cents

sparkle is great for that, XXX will reeeeally lighten your lips too- wash them out. Sparkle will do so a little more naturally (your own color will still show through just not as dark)

One more thing I have just noticed: layering the coconut lipbalm under a color also provide some sort of a base: Polished pink showed up considerably lighter than if applied directly on my lips. Figures, I do this before I got to bed, but so many lippies and so little time to experiment :)
