which pink lip gloss??
Re: which pink lip gloss??
Just don't look at the eyeshadows, or you'll be sunk!
Have you tried Tart, Carnal, Pretty Plum, or Forbidden? They're all so gorgeous, and with the fibreoptic brush I can actually wear them.
Which is bad and good - nice to have a greater range of colours, but I can't afford anymore stuff!
I think the new Kiss Bliss lippies will be great, too!

Re: which pink lip gloss??
Hi everyone!
I am pondering over a new order and keep putting items in my cart and out again, so I just registered in the hope someone can help me in my indecisiveness with recommendations for the lip glosses.
To start, I have to say Silk Naturals is my favourite MMU company by far. Similar to what another poster wrote, I used be a "focus on the eyes - light on the lips" kind of girl but that was mostly due to the colours I got before. That completely changed with Silk Naturals and I wish I could just buy them all now, but I have to proceed slowly. Until recently I thought there is no wrong pick in the collection for me until I got Breathless which looks off on me - I feel I look more yellow and (neurotically) think it enhances my moustache. Birthday suit is another one that is ok but a little bit too brownish for me (?)(I use it mostly at home as a chap stick now). Now I am pondering over the gazillion new and old lip glosses (and demi kiss bliss) and wonder about picks. I just don't want to "waste" time and then have to wait for another order.
So, right now I am undecided about Infatuation, Seedy, Grace, and Swept Away; I am sort of certain about Pout and Razzle Dazzle (judging from the descriptions here).
My favourite lip gloss is BonBon which is exactly my MLBB shade. Good are also Rhonda, Gold Blush, Mulberry Spice, and Sweet Nothing. I wear SN foundation in W:E:WG = 10:1:2 and a mix of Naughty Mau/Chartreux in Meow.
Any recommendations would be helpful!Thanks!

Re: which pink lip gloss??
rhys: I'm staying far far far away from the eyeshadow first. Heck, i'll even TRY to stop visiting the site for a while after my lippies purchase but i have really low abstinence level. haha. I've added forbidden blush sample into my cart along with poppy. I've tried pretty plum but it doesn't work on me. i look older. maybe i need a fibre optic brush.
Polychrome: If you have yellow undertone like me, i think i would go for grace and swept away. I've got a sample of seedy before but it was too cool for me but then again i am pretty heavy with the yellow undertone. Infatuation looks cooler than breathless and breathless was only 'alright' on me. From my previous purchase, everything worked really well on me and they are rare berry, gold blush, berry crush and pout.
rare berry is my favourite so far. it's one of the few reddish tone that i can actually pull off because i can't wear those with blue undertone and when i wear coral red, my teeth look yellow-er but rare berry is just right. As for berry crush, i think you'll like it since u like gold blush. it's bronz-y pink. really pretty.
i haven't tried much but my next purchase includes darling (i heard a lot of good reviews on tis one from fellow asians), hot blooded (rhys' recommendation!!), foreplay, rapture lippie and 6 out 9 of the new kiss bliss (fearless, grace, swept away, xoxo, capricious, tickled pink).
i hope this helps. keep us updated when you get the lippie.

I think everybody needs the fibreoptic blush brush - you can go so light with it that you can wear a lot of blushes - if they clash horribly with your skin tone they won't work, but too dark isn't as big a concern anymore. I used to have a blush similar to Carnal, but clown cheeks, no matter what I tried. Being able to just dot a few grains on it's beautiful. Same with Forbidden, which I think is the clearest red I've ever seen, and something I never would have been able to wear before.
Liljooles has it pretty much covered for Asian skin tones and lippies. In the new lippies, I'd suggest Grace, Capricious, maybe Swept Away - and Berry Crush and Rare Berry especially if you're very warm/yellow toned. The older stuff - Darling, Foreplay (this one is great), Skinny Dip, and Hot-Blooded. I've ordered a few of the demis, but I'm cool-toned. I do think the pinks are going to be great.
Lovelace would probably be a really good blush for you. Maybe Baby, Petal, and Vixen (Vixen is warm, but it depends on how you feel about warm reds) could be winners, too. Jamie (a pretty good match for Bonbon) gets overlooked a lot, and it's a nice colour - definitely on the warm side. Foxxy goes with Darling. Vino, and Cocoaberry are definite possibles. I like Bronze Beauty a lot for 'natural look' days, and it goes well with Rhonda. It's got just a hint of plum in it, but it's pretty much earth-tone with just enough shimmer to keep it from being flat. And give Tart Light a try, too! It all depends on what kind of look you want to put together.
And, of course, the Tempt Tryst finishing powder.
Remember that most things have samples, and if you can't sample it and buy something you're truly unhappy with, you can return it.

Re: which pink lip gloss??
Yeah, i totally forgot to talk about the blushes which i adore!! I'm still deciding if i should get the fibre optic brush because that would only give me more reason to buy the darker shades.
What Rhys have mentioned are pretty spot-ons. If you haven't tried any of the blushes yet, Climax is a good start. It works on yellow-toned skin like mine and neutral (more to the cooler side) skintone like my sister's who is very fair. Lovelace works just as well for me but a little too coral for my sister. I get the 'fresh-face' look when i pair lovelace with pout or 'summer-beachy' look when i pair it with something warmer like gold blush/berry crush.
I was deciding earlier whether to purchase the full size of bronze beauty or flirt and i chose bronze beauty because i've realised that u can never really go wrong with it. apply it lightly to get the healthy natural glow and heavier to get the healthy sunkissed tan (works well with all my lippies). FLirt looks pretty similar to climax only less shimmery and slightly cooler(but works for warm skintone) and Jamie (another one which i love) is almost like climax too, only that it's matte and more earthy (don't know if you can imagine it). This descriptions are based on how they look like on my skintone which is light medium to medium with yellow undertone.
I've place an order for samples of maybebaby, rich and babydoll. In my cart right now is forbidden, poppy and tempttryst finishing powder. Can't wait to test them out

Polychrome,
Welcome to the forum!
I think Rhys and Liljooules have answered most of what you were asking, and very well! If you have any other questions, ask away!
Liljooules- Nice swatches! Blushes are tricky!

Re: which pink lip gloss??
Thanks for all the suggestions! Decisions, decisions... After reading the suggestions and descriptions, now I am thinking of Berry Crush, Divine, Pout and a replacement for Rhonda. I definitely want to try a new Kiss Bliss but after checking my bank account and having to replace some other items I had to narrow it down a bit more than I would like. I want something shimmery pink (Pout), Berry Crush looked nice in swatches and I am afraid that Swept away would be too brownish pink again, so then really brownish instead=Divine. With Grace I am still pondering or Tickled Pink instead?
Regarding blushes: I already sampled several of the old blushes and have Jamie, Flirt, Cocoaberry, Climax, Wish you were here, Bronzed Beauty, and Petal. And they all work. Now I wanted to try Tart, Pretty Plum, and Babydoll. Does that make sense? And also: Tart light seems to be more popular than Tart, but is the latter really that pigmented?
In the overall color scheme I am a winter but my skin tone is quite neutral (I am German btw) so I can wear apparently colours on both sides of the temperature divide (and definitely with SN because the colours are so well balanced). I just tend to mix my foundations a bit more toward the warm side because it seems to give a bit more "life" to my face. However, I usually shy away from colours that clearly state that they are warm, but maybe I am wrong here.
I will just give these a try. Thanks again for the feedback!

Re: which pink lip gloss??
Polychrome,
If you want shimmery pink in the Kiss Bliss, you should try Tickled Pink. In my opinion, it is the lipstick version of Pout but a tad pinker.
Also, it makes total sense that you want to sample the blushes to me! That is my second love in products! (Lippies are first!) I am light to med. in skintone and I prefer Tart Light for a little easier application, but I could probably handle Tart. It is the brightest pink I have ever seen, and yes, it is very concentrated. You and I sound like we are about the same in tone, too.

Re: which pink lip gloss??
JenW : took some time to get the blushes to show properly and this is the best that i can come up with. sheesh...
That's the good thing bout fair neutral (or cooler) skintone. You girls can wear almost any shade or at least pull it off decently. I can imagine you all wearing lovelace and looking good in it with the cooler skintone. I mean, can you imagine me (being all yellow and all) wearing Tart?? or Seedy/berry nice lippies?? I can't even pull off breathless and pretty plum decently.
Not.Pretty.
I'm just waiting for my new batch of lippies to arrive.
And the new eyeshadows are killing me. You have no idea how many times I've filled my cart only to empty it later. lol
