I'm going to Jail for a good cause!

Happy Saturday! I just sent a newsletter out, but I thought I'd post it here too.
.I'm being locked-up on Thursday. With customers saying our makeup is as addicting as crack it was only a matter of time before they came after me for "distributing addictive substances." Who knew that those Bonnie Bell lip smackers my parents bought for me as a little girl were a "gateway drug" and that I'd find myself here, writing this letter.

No, I'm not actually in trouble. I'm going "behind bars" to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association- Jerry's Kids at the annual Jail and Bail. I've pleaded for leniency..I told the judge that I don't put actual crack in the makeup. But with 300 products and counting- they've deemed me a habitual, repeat offender with no chance of being reformed (hehe). I report to "jail" (the local Holiday Inn) on Thursday.

I'd like to say that I'll do my time with grace and dignity- like Martha Stewart, but really, I'm just too soft to do hard time. So, I'm going to bribe my way out.

I've made a special Bad Girl lip balm. It's luscious- a combination of my favorite oils- organic olive, raspberry, jojoba, avocado, a touch of castor oil plus yummy beeswax. I also flavored in in a special RobBERRY (strawberry) scent! The label even has a great "Bad Girl" leopard print!

It costs about $800 to send a child to MDA summer camp- and I'd like to send as many as possible. $1700 funds 20 minutes of research. If 5% of this mailing list donates $10 we'll do something cool...if 10% donates we'll do something really really cool. So feel free to use peer pressure.

Well it was certainly interesting...they really worked the theme for it- including "gourmet bread and water" for refreshments. We raised $470- and the web site is still open so there's still time to donate!

Thank you all so much for your kindness and support! MDA is a truly great cause- the things that these kids go through is just heart breaking, and I'm hoping that we'll be able to send at least one child to camp.
