Trying to buy a new lipstick but...

Post by etherealloving » Wed Aug 26, 2009 3:18 pm

I'm looking in the lippie area and it sounds like all of them are glosses? I prefer the sticks of lippie better than the glosses or tubes. Can someone help me better identify which one is a lipSTICK and which one is a lipGLOSS?

Under Lip Gloss - Organic you'll find 'Almost lipsticks' - they have thicker consistency than regular glosses:
"These are a lighter less formal version of lipstick- a nice level of pigmentation and coverage"

I believe Karen is currently reformulating the actual lipsticks.

Ohh that makes so much sense. I thought she just stopped selling lipsticks or I was blind or something. Thank you very much! :)

Yes, it is a lipgloss, but it is very comparable in pigmentation to MAC's version. There will be lipsticks available soon for Fall.

Yes...working on it! I'm literally covered in pigment, but I think I made a super cool breakthrough this week. I have to keep quiet about it for a while so I can do all of the really crazy tests that I do, but yes, that's what I've been up to this week.

I just realized that you may have been asking about solid sticks vs. the liquid??? Everything that isn't a liquid is in a solid stick/tube form (black label and organic)...some are more pigmented than others, but the formula is solid. That's for this week at least...

Yes, I meant the solid sticks or tube form. Anything where I don't require an applicator and I can just swipe and go. ;)

The only lippies that we currently have that require an applicator are the Liquid Glosses. All others are solid form in a twist up thin chapstick tube. I don't recommend twisting them up too far, though.
