How about wearing it just as a liner, or in the crease, no more? I'm very pale, too, but there are ways we can pull off those more dramatic shades... we just need to apply them sparsely and precisely... When I find out it is still too dark for my taste, I dust a fine layer of Angel glow over my eyes...

This is a tough call... I really like blushes to have a bit of shimmer... It lightens up the face and adds dimension. I have a fiber optic blush brush, so I might get away with Carnal?
