Idolize- golden blue plum- compare to MAC Idol Eyes

Idolize is a purple blue color with an intense layer of gold on top. It's very complex-a combination of 12 different shades of mica, and some pigments too. It's very very close to MAC Idol Eyes.

If you're normally into neutrals but want to try a little something different this would be a good one to try. It's snappy but subtle- with just enough kick to keep it interesting.

A note about clones:  We clone products so you can have the colors that you love, but with much better ingredients.  Because we don't use talc, bismuth oxychloride, binders, petroleum products or preservatives in our color formulas there may be some slight differences between the original and the SN clone.

Ingredients:  Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Magnesium Myristate, Magnesium Stearate, Boron Nitride, Silica.  Also contains:  Iron Oxides, Ferric Ferrocyanide, Ultramarines, Carmine

Years ago I bought this MAC Idolize and everyone always told me how my green eyes look sparkling, it's this one but they discontinued!! I was so disappointed because I wear this everyday so I google and it leads to this website and I bought it, bam! it's match and I wear it everyday! I was so thrilled! I wish you would make it in pressed shadow pan!

This looked really bad on me. It turned very purpleish silver (both colors that don't work at all on my skintone) and made my eyes look tired.

On me, IdolizeReview by Nadine K.
On me, Idolize is primarily silver tinged with lilac. It looks like the arm swatch rather than the color circle. Its frosty high sheen prevents me from seeing any blue, gold, or brown. The rave reviews for Idolize make me wonder how I'm missing out on its multi-faceted complexity. It's possible that my skin "eats" up any gold or brown and only showcases Idolize's cool tones.

In my opinion, Idolize is an improvement upon MAC Idol Eyes because it lacks the latter's silver flakes that cause chunky fallout. In texture, Idolize is not a spot-on dupe of MAC Idol Eyes.

(For reference, I have light-to-medium skin with yellow/peach undertones. Since I look my best in clear warm colors, I have yet to find a taupe that flatters me because they all look grey on me.)

Even though thisReview by Nicole B.
Even though this is described as a 'golden blue plum', on me it looks more silver with subtle gold/blue/plum undertones. I usually use it when I am wearing grey or black. It is hard to describe - on the surface it's a blue/silver/plum shade but it changes in the light. Nothing boring about it, great neutral shade with pizazz and a funner and more interesting pick than basic grey.

At first IReview by Emilie C.
At first I was confused by this colour, in the pictures it looks like a light taupe/gold, but in the description it said it is a silver (ish) colour and normally I am not a fan of silvers, I find them boring. But I decided to take a try, seeing as it was their best seller and so many positive reviews, and wow, this colour is amazing. It's perfect. I bought 4 other colours with this order and have yet to touch them!

Not ever havingReview by Meg M.
Not ever having tried Mac's version, I wasn't sure what to expect or what this color was supposed to look like. I was intrigued by the circle swatch, which shows a color that appears to be an interesting neutral with subtle plum tones. The skin swatch picture shows a sample that is considerably darker. The eye shadow in real life is much closer to the arm swatch. It's a pretty color--just subtle. It goes on as a soft gray with subtle purple hints. It's definitely improved when applied wet or over a "foiler." Overall, not quite what I was expecting, but still a nice color.

This color is so much prettier than it appears on the site and in the jar! It really is a multi-faceted, unique color. On me, it appears more as a taupe purple, and blends wonderfully with Plush in the crease. It looks great for any occasion, too. It's casual enough to wear for a dress-down day, but unique enough to really vamp it up for a special night out. It's perfect!

When I putReview by Dana B.
When I put this on i thought, it is a pretty grey, though I am not much for grey, then I stepped into the light to look at it and was absolutely amazed at the gorgeous plum shadow! Very complex and beautiful. Makes a great one color look when I am in a hurry. I will be reaching for this often.

Everything has beenReview by Anne A.
Everything has been said about the wonderful complexity of this color, I will just say that when we had the opportunity to order eye shadows samples a while back, and when I got this particular one, I wasn't very impressed with what I saw in the baggie... I was almost wondering what the fuss was all about!

And then I applied it.
And now it's unconditionnal love! I really think everyone should give it a try, while looking unpretentious this is simply one of the most gorgeous colours ever (I looove it paired with Peacock cream liner on my lower lashline).

My favorite eyeshadowReview by Julia W.
My favorite eyeshadow from SN. This has a gorgeous grey/taupe base that is neutral enough to go with many different looks. But it's shimmer, strong lilac tones and hints of blue and even gold (depending on how it catches the light) means it never looks dull or boring.

I love it! So pretty with just enough shimmer, but not too much for daytime. Very complex with lots of depth. Love to layer over Truffle - looks great with blue eyes.

I think all of you got it right! And whatever I say shall repeat what others have. Idolize is interesting indeed, and it can pull of as a grey, brown or purple shade. And it is very versatile either as a base or on its own. I love this one, and I want more cos mine's finishing!

"Idolize" is a very interesting color that I've ever had. It's very complex: purplish under one light, brownish under another, and grayish under a different one. It's the perfect color for smokey eyes and you can't go wrong when applying mineral eyeshadows.

Beautiful complex color! It is a violet, gray, blue, taupey color (on me). Depending on what colors I'm wearing it can look more blue or more violet.
