Film Noir- matte black cream liner

Film Noir is our basic matte black cream eye liner. It's great as a liner- OR just a thin coat over your lid makes the new Morphing highlight colors really pop.

Reformulated 4-11 to be Vegan and Gluten Free

Full size has a net weight of  2 grams- this is enough to last you eons.  The packaging is minimal- so it will seem very small, but you'll see that a little goes a long way.  Samples are a small amount of product on a cotton bud.

Our cream liners are comparable to gel liners- they're waterproof, well pigmented, long lasting, and unlike gel liners are 100% natural with no preservatives, petroleum products, or silicones.

These don't dry-out- which means that your little pod is going to last you 2 years.  It also gives you a lot of time to draw the perfect line.  If you're drawing a thick line you do have to set it with a little bit of Perfecting Powder so the color doesn't transfer to other parts of your eye- but once you do it will stay in place until you take it off!

We recommend either our Ultimate Eye Shadow Brush or our Eye Liner brush to apply these.

Ingredients: Certified Organic Castor Oil, Fractionated Coconut Oil, Candelilla Wax, Carnuaba Wax May contain: Mica, Calcium Carbonate, Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, Magnesium Stearate, Magnesium Myrsistate, Boron Nitride, Iron Oxide, Tin Oxide, Silica

I would have to agree with the previous reviews - this does NOT last all day so if you want to have the perfect pure black look for your entire work day - you don’t want this. However, it does stay on and it still looks nice even with the more faded look. At first, it was difficult to put on until you get past the very top layer and then it is creamy and easy to apply with the bent angle brush. This is my daily go-to liner because it’s quick and easy and for my Sunday best or more notable occasions, I use water and the Graphite black powder to create liquid liner.

I work in the cosmetic industry and decided to switch to more natural products. I am SO happy to find this company!! I love gel liners, one of my favs used to be YSL and now my eyes feel heavy when I wear that one! I'm very satisfied with this liner but it is not as black as the YSL. I usually go over this one 2 times to get it very dark but it works really well! No problems with smudging or running! I can't wait to try the brown for a smudgy type of look and gold for accents!

Got this asReview by Lily B.
Got this as a sample on the bud, and have been really enjoying it this far. Easy to apply and so far I have had no issues with the staying power. Had it on this morning at 11 am and its 9:30 in the evening now, I even napped in the middle of the day and the liner is just barely fading at the edges now, but for the most part has been staying on all day for hours while I was out and about with no problem.

Wasn't entirely pleasedReview by Vivian R.
Wasn't entirely pleased with this product. As other reviewers noted, staying power is poor even with perfecting powder, it wasn't as dark as I wanted it to look on my lids, and it felt oily. I will most likely go back to using a regular liquid liner.

This is onReview by Shannon H.
This is on my list of staples every girl should have. I apply it with the eyeliner brush for subtle lines, with a flat shadow brush for smoky lines. I also use it all over my eyelids up into the crease for dramatic smoky eye days. It looks great with any of the prism shadows layered on top of it.

I like thisReview by Paloma P.
I like this eyeliner a lot -- it comes in a convenient little container and it's easy to apply, but I do have to rub my eyeliner brush in it somewhat vigorously to get enough color. Staying power isn't great as others have said; I use this eyeliner to line my top lids and just try to not get it near the crease so it doesn't smudge. I think this liner is comparable to the e.l.f. cream liner but I prefer this one because of the ingredients!

I wasn't sureReview by Meg M.
I wasn't sure what to expect with this, given the mixed reviews, but the texture and heavy pigmentation took me by surprise. I wondered if this would be stiff and tricky to apply, but it's soft and glided on easily. Perhaps the pigmentation was improved since it was first released?--because this is very black. I apply it in small strokes and set it with black eyeshadow. Doing so makes the overall effect even bolder. I have asian eyes and this transfers a bit onto the crease area of my eyelid, but depending on the eyeshadow color I'm wearing it's not too noticeable. Because it does tend to transfer I would not recommend this for your lower lashline, since it will smudge below your eye. Overall for the price I feel that this is an effective liner, though not perfect, I would repurchase.

Not 100% pleasedReview by Cheryl M.
Not 100% pleased with this. Staying power is poor, even with setting with powder or e/s as suggested. If I don't set it heavily enough, it transfers badly, but too much, esp wth e/s, it gets masked and doesn't look bold anymore (set with a dark powder - if set with a light powder, you get black elsewhere on your lid). It tends to still transfer a little bit to my undereye area, enough that I have to q-tip it off. BIG TURNOFF! Smudged, it looks fine, but don't expect a nice defined line from this.

I do like the texture, and although it's a small size (size of a quarter, maybe, or slightly larger?) it should last a long time. However, this product is priced a bit on the high side. I would only consider buying more if the price came down, to reflect its staying power.

I use a MAC 266 to apply this, and application is nice.

I use this as a deep base to make eye shadow colours 'pop'. A great value alternative to MAC's Shark Skin shadestick & will last forever!

While I heartReview by Van-Anh D.
While I heart the texture of this eyeliner, I was a little disappointed with the staying power. I tested it on the back of my hand, it went on beautifully, but just 1 swipe and it's almost gone. I haven't tested it with the sealent yet but for 11 bucks, I'd prefer to pay a litle more for Mac blacktrack. The size is smaller than I expected, the package is a little messing and if you want a real black, this is not for you.

I have toReview by Bronwen E.
I have to give this one color a lower review then the rest of the Cream Eye Liners. In terms of performance it function just the same as the clear and colored ones. The colored ones are vibrant shades which I love. This one just is not as True Black as I was hopping it to be. When I buy a black liner I expect it to be Jet black as indian ink or a permanent marker. It's that crisp sharpness of the black that this is lacking for me. It's bit smokey in my option and I like using it for a smudged look (I am using it) it is black but not gel liner black.

I love theReview by Angela H.
I love the creamy consistency of this eyeliner. Don't let the picture fool you this is a true black. Just set it with a little setting powder and you are good to go. Thanks Karen for all the effort you put into all these great products. Keep them coming :)

These are smallerReview by Janice T.
These are smaller than I imagined them to be. They're around 1/3 of the thickness of a 5g sifter jar but the same circumference. But I was thinking and compared to other companies $6.50 is a great price. Plus they really are creamy and long lasting.
