Same to you, Karen. You deserve a break, too!
I'd also ask that everyone take a moment to think about all those who gave their lives for our country, those families who have lost loved ones to war, and those who are currently defending freedom for us and other nations. My husband and I are both retired military - we are grateful that we both retired healthy and intact and had the opportunity to pursue second careers. Our sacrifices of long hours and frequent separations pale compared to those who gave their all. If you are also a veteran, thank you for your service. If you are not, please take the time to thank a veteran today, put a flower on a grave, or thank a family who lost a loved one to war.

Lauren, thank you for the reminder of what this holiday is really about. I know I tend to just be thankful for the day off, but you are so right in that we have so much to be thankful for as a result of the dedication and sacrifice of our service men and women over the years.
Happy Memorial Day!

Amen, and Thank you to all who have sacrificed for this country- it really is an honor to be in the presence of anyone who's served.

Lauren, Thanks for the reminder about what the holiday is all about. As I was driving by the Chamber Of Commerece's office today, the digital sign had a picture of the flag and a thank you to all who have served on it. We as individuals and as a country as a whole need to be thankful for all that we have due to the many who have served and gave all so that we can enjoy the many freedoms that we have today.
