Buff is gone?

Post by egerandi » Sat May 09, 2009 1:14 am

I'm just starting adding to my neutral shadows, and like how Buff (got it as a sample swap recently) works with Bittersweet and Vanilla. Imagine my disappointment when I noticed that I missed the boat... Buff is no longer listed on the site. It's available as part of the Shimmering Nudes Palette, but not on its own. Am I just missing the fact that it was never available by itself? Others seem to be listed individually, so I'm not sure. It's the perfect nude grayish tan (whoever has it know what I'm talking about, but I'm not sure if I'm describing it well).

Quite a few shadows went bye-bye recently to make room for the new collection. Some of them are still available in kits, but not individually. The Shimmering Nudes palette seems to be gone save for getting it in a kit.

If you have a very fine brush (I just found my missing stash of e/s brushes) then Cougar may be worth a try. It's not exactly the same but with a wispy-type brush it comes out really nicely for highlight.

Oh shoot, I always do this... Hmmm, Cougar is very pretty, but what I like about Buff is that it's matte. Anything in the works perhaps? Or suggestions for mixing it up from other colors that are still available? Maybe I should revive the matte thread on the Wish List board :)

Buff was available on it's own, I got a jar just before it went "poof". Sorry you missed it, it's one of ny faves.

Now it looks like the set is gone too, oh well. I'll just keep using my samples and hope for the best (and posted to the matte wish list :) )

Just wanted to say

THANK YOU!!!

:)

I wish everything in life would be as pleasantly surprising as getting unexpected but hoped for goodies in the mail from SN. Oh, right, forgot to mention: I begged a bit more for Buff in my shopping notes, and lo and behold, it appeared in my package. I'm so happy, I'm wearing it today with a bit of Vanilla on top and highlight and Scallop Pink in the corner. I'm planning on using it by itself and also mixing it with a bit of ivory to lighten up and some with a bit of Vanilla to lighten and sparkle, as it seems to work great together for a different effect. Did I say thank you? Well, here it is again: Thanks :)
